Laura's POV

I woke up this morning with a huge headache as Elvis's mom urged me on to take the aspirin she had placed on the counter with a glass of water, I smiled up at her as I gulped the medicine down with water, frowning when it left a bitter taste in my mouth.

She got me a blanket and a couple of fluffy pillows as she helped me get comfortable on the couch.
I smiled sadly as I thought of the fact that Elvis should have been the one doing this, but instead that asshole had to leave like a coward and leave all the work and worrying to her mother.
Ever since Elvis left for his new house  ,its been his mom who has been encouraging and helping me in every way, sometimes my Dad tries to cheer me up and ends up saying hurtful stuff to me because he hasn't forgiven me for getting pregnant and for putting my life in danger.

I was just about closing my eyes and shutting the world out so I could drift into a peaceful sleep when there was a knock at the door, I groaned as Mrs. Brendon went out to get the door.
"If not my favourite son, who would it be?", Mrs. Brendon said as I sat up immediately, " what are you doing here",I wanted to scream but kept my cool and slumped back on the couch as he came in wearing that stupid smile that never faltered even when he was upset.
"You should all come for breakfast", Mrs. Brendon said as she led the way to the dinning table were she had laid breakfast .

Throughout breakfast, I clenched my fist and gritted my teeth to prevent myself from hitting the guy who sat across from me and believe me, I really wanted to hit him.
Maybe I could intentionally knee him in the jewels and blame it on my pregnant state and how I got irritated easily, I was considering putting that plan into action when my father's smooth but heavy  voice got me reconsidering my decision.

" so son why did you decide to leave your pregnant wife alone",he asked or that's what I think I heard, as I stared at Elvis who looked like he wanted to fall of his seat.
I laughed silently in victory as I saw how uncomfortable he was, this was even better than kneeing him in the jewels, this was epic.

Breakfast was one of the most uncomfortable breakfast of my life as but of course except from the part when Elvis looked like he had seen a ghost. I thanked the heavens when breakfast was over and Mrs. Brendon began clearing the table without a word.

I found a comfortable spot on the couch as I covered myself with the blanket which Mrs Brendon had brought me earlier.
Elvis strode into the kitchen after my Dad had left to go pack up for work and I could hear them talking in hushed tones.

I must have drifted off because after sometime, I was startled awake by Mrs. Brendon who came to kiss me on the cheeks and then whispered to me to take care since they were leaving for work,  my Dad came to give me a hug too and then after talking to Elvis for a while, they left telling me to call if I needed something or things escalated and I needed a bail out.

After they had left, the room became eerily quiet as Elvis just stood there starring without saying a word, and then he went down on his knees as he clutched my hand and began apologising, initially, I ignored him but after sometime, his quit sobbing started irritating me and I had no choice than to forgive, that and the fact that I had missed him.

He helped me up as I told him that I had forgiven him and kissed me passionately on the lips as he moved me from left to right completely checking me out.
He held my hand afterwards and led me to his car which was parked outside ,where he retrieved a box of chocolate and flowers.
I smiled as I threw my hands over his neck and pecked him on the cheeks, and then he led me in as he made me sit down and he also got comfortable on the couch beside me.
"Say you are an idiot", I said as he looked up at me in surprise and confusion written all over his face.
