Chapter 24: GettingRidOfMartin
I walk back into my dressing room and what I sight welcomes me. I see Martin yelling at Ms. Castillo, Ms. Castillo defending herself with her hands on her hips, the other team members trying to break it up, and someone's spilled coffee on the floor. Ugh, this is a disaster! I dig in my bag and pull out Dr. Diarrea's gift (his air horn) and push the button. Everyone froze an looked my way. It was as quiet as a mouse. Wow. I thought.Ms. Castilloshouldhaveusedthatforherclass(es)!!! Haha!
So as everyone froze and got quiet, my promised peacemaker was here to set things right! He walked up to me and flipped open his wallet. "Ryan Dew, Grammy Complaint Hotline. What is your problem?" he asked me. "Well...this is my long lost middle school teacher, Ms. Castillo. I just got in touch with her today. Then this guy named 'Martin' comes in and shoves her out of the way and starts called me a BRAT and all that! So I called the complaint hotline and the lady said that there was no MARTIN so then he starts acting all rude and fighting with Ms. Castillo and he is...I don't even know if his name is Martin! I mean, really! And so then she sent you over here to get rid of her!" I ramble.
Ryan gives me a face between overwhelmed, lost, and confused. And I do not blame him. I can be confusing at times...at all times. Ask anyone. Anyway, back on track here. He requires Martin to take out his I.D. "Ah 'Martin'. Or should I say Raymond Von Beau! You are coming with me, sir! And if you don't mind me asking, do you know where Anthony Mark is?" he asked with a sarcastic-happy tone. "Uh, sorry sir. But I actually DO mind...so yeah. Bye!" Martin, or should. I say, Raymond Can Beau said and ran out of the room.
"HEY! GET BACK HERE! Ryan yelled chasing him. Ms. Castillo kicked off her yellow high heels and slipped on her flats. "Hey, I come prepared!" she says, taking after Raymond and Ryan. "Come on!" I yell, running out of the room with my team right behind me. "Split up! My team go that way," I point the opposite way Raymond, Ryan, and Ms. Castillo went. They nod and take off. I run and catch up with Ms. Castillo. "Wow, you are running fast!" I tell her stunned. She was like a motorcycle. She was moving like, 90 miles an hour (hyperbole!)! "Well, thank you! A proper diet and daily exercise is the key!" she replies. I smile. I remember when she would sit with us at lunch, she would always eat a big salad. She was really fun AND wise and healthy. It was a cool combination.
