Jake's POV

I needed some fun. Something exciting and something that will make all this stress with finals week and everything go away. I haven't seen Kylie in the past two weeks as much as I have wanted to since she has been studying really hard for her finals, she wants to get into a good school or something like that. I'd rather go to a party school.

Lately I noticed the guys have been staring at Kylie a little too long then they need to be, especially that new kid Dan or whatever the hell his name is. I wasn't too happy about it either. Since today was Friday I decided it was time for Kylie and I to go on a date, even though we weren't actually a couple, and I didn't plan on making us official for a while yet. Sure I loved kissing her and everything but I don't think I like her or anything serious.

So it was decided, now I was going to kidnap Kylie for the weekend.

I saw her beautiful face and body strutting out of the school and searching for my car. When she saw it her amazing lips curled up in a smile and she walked over to the car, sliding in the passengers seat and giving me a wink before crossing her legs and relaxing into the seat. Oh ya baby, relax, its gonna be a lonnnggg ride.

"I've missed you," I whispered reaching over and grabbing her hand. She smiled but didn't say anything. Something was wrong. "Is . . . everything alright?"

She sighed and looked out the window, slowly letting go of my hand and crossing her arms. Great, this was not how I wanted it to start. I pulled over to the side of the road and turned in my seat to face Kylie. She sighed again before turning to face me again.

"She's coming back," She finally whispered. Who?

"Uh, who is babe?" I saw her lips twirk up when I said babe, I think she likes that.

"My older sister . . ." She groaned as she grabbed my hand and started playing with my fingers, I liked that actually.

"So, how bad could that be?"

"You don't understand, my sisters a total bitch! She's . . . pretty and smart and everyone loves her, my parents, my brother, all the guys, its annoying because I'm always getting compared to her!" She yelled rolling her eyes but staring at my fingers intently.

"Trust me Kylie, your beautiful, smart and I know your family loves you, don't worry about it, for now be happy because I have a surprise for you," I said finally getting her to look up at me in shock.

"What?"

"Just sit back and relax, we'll be there in about three hours," I said putting the car in drive and starting to get back on the road but Kylie reached over and put it in park. I was about to protest when she embraced me in a warm hug. Her arms wrapped around my neck and slowly my arms slithered around her waist pulling her completely off her seat and placing her on my lap.

"Thank you so much," She mumbled, her lips moving against my neck making me shiver.

"Of course, besides, I'm going to make you forget all about this week," I said winking at her and lightly kissing the tip of her nose. She giggled and pecked me lightly then got back on her seat and let me drive off.

Three hours later, like I said, we were at the beach. I had put a blindfold on Kylie before we got close to the beach so she wouldn't know where we were.

"Alright you can take it off now," I said helping her untie the cloth. As soon as she saw the beach she smiled and jumped into my arms.

"I can't believe you! I love beaches!!!" She screamed. Wow, lucky me, I actually made a lucky guess, good thing she likes beaches because that's where we were going to be staying this whole weekend. I reached in my trunk once I set her down on her feet again and pulled out the huge duffel bag and tent.

"We're staying here?!" She asked grabbing the tent from me and following me out to the beach.

"Of course, its time to have some fun and just forget about everything," I said helping her open the tent and start to set it up.

"I love you," I heard her whisper.

"What?" I froze . . . Did she just say she 'loved' me? She just started laughing.

"I said I love this!" She said not making eye contact. Of course she did, I must have been hearing wrong, I knew Kylie didn't love me, this was strictly pleasure, nothing personal EVER.

"Haha, me too," I said trying not to sound weird. I loved that she was happy but for some reason I couldn't help but feel a little lonely or sad that she hadn't said she loved me. What was I saying? I was happy she didn't, right? I shook my head and continued helping set up the tent until everything was in place.

"Lets go for a walk," She said grabbing my hand and pulling me down the beach. It was so peaceful and quiet, everything felt right with Kylie holding my hand and talking about pointless things as we walked barefooted down the beach. Wow I'm really starting to sound like a chick now.

Suddenly it started raining and we had to run back to the tent and quickly jump inside before we got even more soaked. We were both panting hard when we looked at each other with wide eyes. After a moment of looking at eachother all serious we both bursted out laughing and rolled back on our backs.

Before long Kylie was rolled up next to me, laughing still and playing with my shirt. I was chuckling a little still as well, until I realized that Kylie was laying next to me, with no around . . . except us.
