It is the very next morning. Kakashi and I had been up most of the night last night. Mostly due to... Other things, but the rest of the night I spent throwing up. Whatever sleep I got, I felt Like it was restless. When I finally opened my eyes, Kakashi's arms were wrapped around me. I could hear water dripping in the kitchen sink faucet, automatically putting me in a slight mood. Kakashi lets out a small groan as I look up and trace his naked chest with my fingers, following the hard ridges. I could feel his heat radiating.

With a groan, his eyes blink wide open. He flutters his lashes a few times before his eyes settle on mine. "Morning, gorgeous. You are a beautiful think to wake up to first thing in the morning," He chuckles tiredly as he rolls out of bed. I look at him as I feel a pang of sadness. I was the reason he hadn't slept very well, not that he would ever complain or let me know that. He would most likely take that to his grave with him. Not that I was complaining. It was one of his many redeeming attributes.

Kakashi and I got up, getting dressed with the necessities for the day. Before long, we could hear knocking on the door. It was around noon, the sun way overhead in the sky. I answer the door, seeing both Asuma and Kurenai standing back, seemingly in a conversation. As soon as I open the door, they straighten and Give us smiles. "You ready, Zuka?" Kurenai asks as she winks at me. I nod and Kakashi and I share a quick kiss goodbye, making my cheeks light up red. With only one glance backwards, we take off for a girls day out.

Kurenai wouldn't tell me where we were headed, but she led me confidently towards the edge of the Village. Before long, we met up with Shizune, Yugao, and Anko. They each were chatting happily among themselves and wore cheerful smiles. As they see us arrive, they each turn and wave. "Thanks for inviting us to a girls day out, Kurenai," Yugao says, flipping her plum colored hair. Kurenai waves a hand dismissively. "It was all Shizuka's idea," She laughs as she pushes me forwards. I bow respectfully and smile at them. "Thanks for agreeing to  come. This is my very first Girls only Get together," I tell them honestly. They look at each other incredulously. "Really?" Anko asks curiously. I nod and blush.

"I never really had any friends before I met all of you. I was quiet and kept to myself. If it weren't for all of you, I wouldn't even know what that was like. So I wanted to thank you properly," I tell them as I smile a bit with nervousness. They look at one another and giggle. "Shizuka, friendship is something that you should never have to thank someone for. True friendship Is always given free of charge. So let us use this day as one to have fun and relax," Yugao says as she gives me a squeeze on the shoulder. I nod.

We depart for the village outskirts, Heading towards the hot springs hidden just outside of the village. Before long, we are being given treatments in medicated mud baths and facials as well as our fingers and toes cared for. "This is what every girl needs," Kurenai sighs next to me as a shirtless man massages her back. I swear I could see a little drool on the side of her mouth as she stares as his naked chest, examining the generous abs he had. I giggle and enjoy my own massage, the tension leaving my face, neck and back as well as the rest of my body slowly. The man kneads carefully at the swollen spots where my knots are the tightest. A slight moan rolls from my lips as he reaches the spot I was injured in just days ago, the bruises only barely healed.

Kurenai giggles and I watch the others enjoy their spa treatments wordlessly. Shizune was doing impressions of Lady Tsunade that were completely unflattering and would have surely angered her had she been around to ear them, making everyone laugh. I added in a few quips about the guys, making a competition of which one had the most embarrassing moments.

Before I even knew it, the treatments were over and it was dinner time. We all headed for some barbecue pork. Before long, there were spirits and food a plenty being passed around. I pulled the waiter aside and ask for a sparkling grapefruit juice, to which she nods and leaves the room without another word. I slowly begin eating my food, looking around to make sure that everyone was enjoying themselves. When the bottle finally got passed to my side of the table, I waved them off. "Come on, Shizuka, drink with us," Anko says as she pouts. I shake my head an sigh.

"I can't," I tell her as I accept the glass the waiter brings me. All but Kurenai look at me in confusion. "Why not?" Shizune asks me as she runs a hand in her hair. I blush and look down, gathering my wits before I look back up in embarrassment. "I can't drink anymore. Because... Kakashi and I are expecting our first child," I say quietly. The entire room goes so quiet for a few seconds that I swear I can hear every last heartbeat. In moments, excited cries go up from around the table, each of them eager to congratulate us. Kurenai gives a smile and stands up, heading for the divider. "I will be right back." she tells us as she walks out and disappears down the hallway.

I sit there and accept all of the well wishes from all of the other girls who ask loads of questions and introduce their helpful comments. Before long, Kurenai comes back, but she is accompanied buy none other than Guy, Asuma, Hayate and Genma. I look at them in confusion before a rush of air beside me startles me. I turn to see Kakashi, head bowed and on one knee. The room grows quiet and everyone seems to realize what has been happening other than me. I look at him with my eyes widened and my head slightly cocked.

"K.. Kakashi?" I asks, a little unsure of myself as he looks up to me. He gives me that melting one eyed smile I have grown to adore so much. "Shizuka, you came into my life during a time where I was ready to give up. The darkest parts of me were going to destroy me. Over time, you lit up the darkness and scared every last vestige of it away with the light that is your soul. You have given me love, you have given me purpose. And now, you have given us our first child. I want to thank you in ways that I cannot understand for the love and the joy that you have brought to my life over the last year. I have come to understand how much I love you and how much you mean to me. As you have progressed, from chunin to Jonin to Anbu in the last year, to finally an expecting mother, I ask that you take one more promotion in life, from my girlfriend to my wife. Will you do me the honor of marrying me?" Kakashi asks me, almost as if he had rehearsed it for this very moment.

I look at him, lost for words as I process what was said in my mind, wanting to remember it for the rest of my life as Kakashi pulls out a ring, the entire thing adorned with dainty but beautiful diamonds. It takes a few seconds of me scrambling to find my brain as the others wait on baited breath for my answer to come out in one single breathless word. "Yes," I whisper, the word sounding like the sealing vow that it was. Nobuo appears from behind me and places my hands in Kakashi's, giving me a Kiss on the cheek.

The entire room erupts into cheers, everyone shouting happily as they pass around the Sake. I blush as he slips the ring onto my finger. It fits perfectly on my finger and we exchange a tender embrace. "I love you," We whisper at the same time before both giving a chuckle. Kakashi smiles. "I would like to host the wedding soon," He says honestly before brushing a hand on my cheek. I nod. "That is okay with me," I tell him as we rejoin the others.

The partying ended up going on until it was too late at night to continue. Everyone But Kakashi and I stumbled home completely inebriated, their footfalls loud even in the darkness.
