(Kakashi's Point Of View)
I haven't been assigned any missions in a month, per my request. Lord Third has honored my wishes so I have spent every second by my wife's side. She now has an enormous belly and was placed on bedrest in the last month, her placenta threatening to detach. Right now she was sleeping peacefully beside me, which was a good change. She has been up crying from the pain for almost a week now, her body pushed to the limits. It was a nice change to see her sleeping so peacefully. I came to my senses from a couple of whines at the end of the bed. I glance at the noisemakers and sigh. "Shh. she's sleeping. Come on. I will take you both out," I mumble as I slide out of bed.
I threw my shoes on and went to the back yard, letting the growing pups outside to do their business. When I come back in, a shiver runs down my back. I rush in to check on Shizuka, who was already past her due date. She was still calmly asleep, so I breathe a sigh of relief and walk into the kitchen, making myself a cup of hot chocolate and starting lunch. It was early in the afternoon, but I hadn't slept at all last night, I was too worried about Shizuka. She was so beside herself last night, overemotional and exhausted. I had only ever seen her cry a few times. But the doctors had told us this would be normal. I was making lunch when I got the sense that something just wasn't right.
Turning off the burner to the stove and setting the food aside, I rush into the room, the cold feeling resonating in my chest in a way that made me feel completely uncomfortable. When I get into the bedroom, my eyes fly to the bed and a gasp falls from my lips.
Shizuka lies there with her face sheet white, pain evident even to me. She is panting hard, her eyes screwed shut in pain as she whispers my name. I rush to her side and pull the covers off of her, ready to lift her up, only to realize that she is laying in a small pool of blood from between her thighs. My blood runs cold. Quickly I summon Pakun and send him ahead, alerting the medics to prepare a room as I was on my way. I say a silent prayer in my heart, I rush to the hospital, clutching a softly crying Shizuka to my chest. Before too long, the cries stopped and she went slack against me, her face sheet white from pain.

(Shizuka's Point of view)
I flickered my eyes open, the unbearable pain from earlier having dissipated to a low ache. The first thing that my eyes took in was Kakashi's worried face. "Hey, no don't sit up," He tells me as the doctor comes into my view. Her eyes find mine and she gives me a smile. "Nice to see you awake. Are you ready to have this baby?" She asks me. I look at her in shock and nod. "More than ready," I tell her honestly. She smiles. "Everything will be okay. But the baby is in distress. We need to induce labor now, while we still can or we will end up having to operate," The nurse explains as she quickly checks my vitals.
My eyes widen. "Is he going to be okay?" I ask her desperately. The woman gives me a sympathetic look. "The baby's vitals are low. We need to do this now, While we can keep everything under control," She tells me as several other nurses file into the room. Kakashi Grabs my hand as the give me a shot and a mixture to induce labor.

"OH MY FUCKING GOD YOU DID THIS TO ME! I HATE YOU! I HATE YOU ALL! HE'S KILLING ME!" I scream at Kakashi and the nurses as the next contraction takes over me. Over the last three hours I had had increasing contractions, having had them forcibly break my water. "You're doing good, Shizuka. We can see the baby's head. Keep pushing. Deep breath in and deep breath out," The head nurse tells me as another earth shattering contraction rocks my body, making me snap my teeth shut in pain.
