I wake up, cold and irritable

I wake up, cold and irritable. We were supposed to move into Kakashi's estate today. Kakashi had decided that where we were was way too small to continue being there. I was fine with whatever he wanted, but three weeks had passed without word on my brother. Nothing could be said other than the fact that they were working on an infiltration to rescue him. He was apparently deep within the Hidden Rain village. I had tried three different times to sneak away, but Kakashi knew everything that happened when he was sleeping and that made it impossible. I was irritated, but not with him in particular. Everything was the matter today.

As I climbed out of bed, I smell food coming from the Kitchen. I rub the sleep from my eyes and pad to the kitchen, grabbing a cup of coffee grumpily. Kakashi looks over at me and smiles. "Morning. I thought you were going to sleep all day," He says as he kisses my forehead. I grumble a load of nonsense, not making any sense to my own ears. Kakashi gives me an amused glance and pulls out a few plates. I mutter in confusion as an aura appears behind my eyes, making me shut and blink them several times to ward it off. "Strange," I say as it slowly clears, leaving behind a slight headache.

Kakashi glances at me worriedly as he sets down the plates. I look over at him and give a reassuring smile. "Are you okay?" He questions as he places a hand on my shoulder. I nod. "I think so. It was just something in my eyes," I tell him as I grab my eating utensils. He doesn't look convinced, but begins eating anyways Breakfast/brunch passes by in a flash for me. After breakfast we begin the process to move. We weren't taking a whole lot of stuff with us, but what we were needed to be stored in a summoning scroll. Kakashi and I set about making things simple to bring over to the other place, labeling boxes and separating necessities. It was not very fun, but it gave me something else to think about other than what had already been on my mind.

I look over at Kakashi, watching as he sorts his needs and wants. I barely had anything at his place anyway. I was putting whatever he threw my way into a box, then labeling it and setting it aside so that he could store it in a summoning scroll. For me this was confusing not to mention a long process. Before we realize it, three hours had passed, us quietly packing things. It took another hour to cross to the new estate and have most of it unpacked.

It came on so suddenly, catching me completely off guard. I was glancing up at the clock and suddenly, the aura started again along with pain and a horrible wave of nausea. I let out a gasp, holding my head as I began to lose consciousness. A set of arms catch me before I can hit the floor and the last thing I hear is Kakashi calling my name.

(Kakashi's Point of View)

I almost didn't see it happen. All of a sudden, she was upright and then the next... I knew something was up. She hadn't been acting right since she woke up this morning. Off and on all day, I had watched her for some reason. I had felt like it was going to happen again. Now I was sure something was wrong. In a flash, I had caught her in my arms, calling her name out as I checked to see if she was still okay. When she didn't respond, I took off towards the hospital. 'Please don't be anything serious," I think desperately as I rush through the doors seemingly in seconds.

The nurse immediately sets up a room and lays her on an examination table. The doctor comes in and performs a complex set of hand signs over her unconscious body and a green light appears. Moving the light over her body, she immediately begins to frown. "How long has she been like this?" She asks me as she continues to examine Shizuka. "No more than seven minutes," I explain as I think about how she had behaved this morning. "Any other symptoms?" She asks as I think about it. "Other than her seeming off this morning, nothing else up until she fainted. Why?" I ask nervously. The doctor lets out a frustrated sigh.

"She has massive amounts of Chakra built up, a lot of it is in her brain and behind her eyes. They are to almost dangerous levels. We are going to have to absorb as much of it as we can and try to keep her under the entire time. If everything goes alright, she should be able to be up and about by tomorrow morning," The doctor tells me as she has the nurse get more doctors to come into the room.  I look around in confusion. "How did this happen?" He asks quietly. The Doctor looks at me sympathetically.

"It's a part of her Kekkei-Tora. I am willing to bet that if she doesn't use her Chakra at least once a day, it stores away and builds until it reaches dangerous levels. As far as her charts state, she has only used the Kekkei-Tora once and that was when she was extremely young. I don't know if she even realizes she has it." "A Kekkei whatta?" I ask her in confusion. The doctor gives me a longsuffering sigh as she takes Shizuka's vitals. "A Kekkei-tora is along the lines of a Kekkei Genkai. A Kekkei Genkai is a blood-born trait that one inherits when they are passed two types of Chakra natures. A Kekkei-tora is even rarer. A Kekkei-tora bearer has been born with three chakra natures or more. It can be extremely dangerous depending on what natures are mixed," She explains.

I look at her in bewilderment. "I had no idea that was even possible," I say as I look to Shizuka's sleeping face. The doctor writes something on her clipboard before crossing to the door. "She should be  fine soon," she says as she exits to grab something. I am left alone with her again, worry etched on my face. The woman was going to be the death of me. And here I was, worried I had gotten her pregnant. Now that I knew about the underlying issue, perhaps I could prevent it from happening ever again. "Zuka, I'm so sorry," I whisper as the doctors come into the room to begin their procedure. The pain in my heart grew until the guilt nearly consumed me, taking over my thoughts completely.

It was a long process, but the doctors finally managed to drain the majority of her pent up chakra. The levels depleted to something a lot more normal and far less dangerous. I bow in respect to the head doctor in the room, thanking her for her help. She smiles, the wrinkles in the corner of her mouth turning upwards ever so slightly. "I saw her the first time her Kekkei-tora ever appeared. She was probably about four or five. She would never remember but she nearly blew up her mother's home after having a fit. It nearly gave Misa a heart attack. But after many studies, they had never manifested again. Watch for it I believe she still has them especially if they are affecting her now," the older woman said wisely. I nod and stroke her face. "To be honest, I had expected for you to tell me she was pregnant," I confessed to her.

The woman gave me an odd glance. "Why is that?" She asks me. I shake my head and sigh. "She has just been oddly moody lately is all. It doesn't take much either," I explain. The woman let out a bark of laughter. "Hon, she is probably  getting ready to start her monthly. I sensed no child growing within her," she explains. "Her what?" I ask in confusion. She looks at me in alarm. "Are you telling me you know nothing about the reproductive cycle?" she asks in bewilderment. I nod in embarrassment. "Not really, no. I never had a mother or sisters so... That isn't a subject I know anything about," I say in embarrassment.

The doctor shakes her head in amazement. "What are they teaching kids nowadays?" She demands as she begins to launch into a lengthy discussion about the entire male and female reproductive cycle. I get more than my earful. By the time she is done, I am very enlightened on the subject. Poor Shizuka, I had no idea women had it so rough. I made up my mind to do something special for her. Just she wait.
