Chapter 5

Sorry for the late update, my WiFi has been down but is now working again!

Agitated? Oh I was far beyond that. I haven't been able to move from this spot for three fucking hours. That's right, Bennett is still plastered to me. Forget agitated, I'd lost my patience.

For the hundredth time I glared at Benjamin who started to squirm under my gaze and shift his weight from one leg to the other. We'd tried everything. Each of them had tried to comfort him, the guards tried to gently pry him away from me. I'll admit I even started yelling at him and attempted to get him off by force. All to no avail.

" Get. Him. Off. Of. Me." I demanded.

" We're trying, Katherine." My mother said, her eyes scolding and her voice growing exhausted.

" Maybe if you try to comfort him," Benjamin tried again. Okay, so maybe we hadn't tried everything. I still refused to comfort him.

"No." I said stubbornly.

" Nothing else has worked,-" Felicity said with a heavy sigh. Pamula had sent guards out to find her after they'd found Bennett and I. She'd gotten so lost even they had a difficult time finding her.

" Your way hasn't worked, it's time to try mine." I said in a bitter tone. I had already tried to force him off, I only had one more idea before I snapped and strangled him to death.

" Katherine.." My mother warned. Ignoring her I shoved my hand between our bodies, a Cheshire grin spreading over my lips as I crept my hand up under his shirt. His skin was warm, his stomach as hard as a rock and toned to perfection. I could feel his muscles flex under my touch and his back stiffen instantly.

" Hey baby," I whispered seductively, my lips brushing against his ear. I could feel him shiver and hear the quickening of his breath. Good, that meant this was working. " Can I borrow a kiss? I promise to give it back."

And there it was. Bennett released me like my body was on fire. As he took several steps back his eyes widened, now back to their natural color. Startled, he swallowed hard and looked around. Benjamin smiled, placing a hand on his sons shoulder.
" Bennett, it's okay."

" What happened?" Bennett asked him in a quiet voice." After I snapped out of it.. It was like I was here, but I couldn't get a hold on reality. That's never happened before."

Benjamin's eyes flickered over to me at the same time I waved and made my exit. At least I tried to. But you know, evil mother's and all.

" Young lady, where do you think you are going?" She asked me.

" Anywhere but here." I said simply.

" Not just yet, Katherine." Benjamin said holding his hand out to stop me. " I need to speak with your Aunt and mother."

He turned back around and started speaking in a hushed voice with them, a worried expression on his face. Since the three of them were distracted, I decided to sneak away, but then my eyes met his. Brown eyes with flecks of valkyrie blue stared deeply into my eyes. I squirmed under his intense gaze, remembering when they'd been pitch black, remembering the words he said.

" Katherine," Benjamin suddenly spoke. I jumped, scolding myself for being so easily startled as I tore my gaze away from Bennett to look at Benjamin. " We've agreed that it'd be best for Bennett to stay with you for the remainder of the day. Perhaps you could spend that time giving him a tour of the palace."

What?!

I stared at Benjamin in both shock and horror. Is this punishment for skipping out on my chores? Was it because of what I did to Luca? What were they thinking, how could they agree that what he just proposed was a good idea?
