Felicity paced back and forth in my room, her fingers twidling anxiously and her eyes sweeping over the space every five seconds. In other words, she was a nervous wreck.
" Calm down Felicity." I said, watching her from the end of the bed.
"Calm down? You want me to calm down?!" She asked, her voice just short of shrieking." I'm going on a date with that monster!"
Ever since the end of breakfast when Pamula announced that Bennett and Felicity would be going on a date, cuckoo here boarded the train to la la land and hasn't made any pit stops.
" We'll figure something out." I said with a shrug. A date with the cursed half demon wasn't going to kill her. Its not like she had to worry about losing her marbles, she'd already gone and done that. " It's not like I'm inexperienced with ruining dates."
" They expect me to do this thing in five minutes." She said raking her hands painstakingly slow through her hair. " Can you come up with one of your evil schemes in five minutes?"
" Don't question my mojo," I complained. Narrowing my eyes I pointed a finger at her and said,
" it hasn't failed me yet."" I don't know Katherine." She said slumping to the ground with a defeated sigh. " Maybe I should just accept my fate."
With a frown I grabbed the nearest pillow and hurled it at her. She yelped, jumping a few inches off the ground. "Enough, alright? Ruining the party is one of my specialties."
" Okay.. Okay," She agreed with a nod. " But what am I suppose to do until then?"
Raising an eyebrow I gave her a look. " Do you really need me to walk you through every second of this date?"
Again her fingers started to twiddle on her lap. Glancing up she gave me a nervous look, her eyes pleading with me. " I'm sorry, it's just I'm not as brave as you are Katherine. I'm scared to be around him, never mind being alone with him."
" Miss Felicity?!" A maid called from the hallway.
" You'll be fine." I assured, giving her frantic eyes a pointed look.
" Just pretend he's someone else."Pursing her lips she nodded and stood. She walked to the door, sparing a glance back at me before leaving the safety of the room. I wondered how long she would last? Ten minutes, maybe twenty?
" It's time to start your chores Katherine." Dallas said from the other side of the closed door. Groaning I fell back on the bed and started grumbling into a pillow. Could I not have one second to myself, one second of peace? Must someone always pop out of thin air to test my non-existent need to socialize?
I heard the creak of the door, then the footsteps that approached the side of my bed. Grinning from ear to ear I remained face down, waiting for the opportune moment.
" C'mon Katherine," He said, nudging me in the side. A moment passed, " When was the last time you cleaned your room?"
" I'm having a sale. My clothes are one hundred percent off." I said, turning onto my side to grin mischeviously up at him. His face turned blank, then his eyes widened.
" Katherine!"
" That's right, practice screaming my name." I said.
He smacked himself, cheeks burning a deep, embarassed red.
" Oh God, I walked right into that one."" Did you find my panties on your bedroom floor?" I asked innocently.
" What?!" He asked, eyes widening in disbelief. " No!"
