After hearing his voice echo through my head, I couldn't help but let my thoughts wander. Too soon was I rudely awoken from my thoughts when Jess kicked me under the table.
"What?" I shook my head a couple of times to attempt to wake myself back up.
She nodded to the boy sat across from me.
I turned my head to meet his gaze. "Oh, sorry what did you say?"
He smiled and sighed a little. "What's it like living with only brothers," he asked, laughing a little.
"I'll tell ya, it's not easy. I should have an award." I laughed a bit at the end.
"I don't think it's that difficult," my brother, Sam, said loudly.
"Fine, then you can go live with five girls for a couple years," I snapped back at him.
I shook my head. "It's not the easiest thing in the world, but I guess it can be handy." I said, giggling again.
He nodded and said, "It's probably better than growing up with a sibling that's five years older."
I nodded, "Socially, maybe. Otherwise, the amount of things that they've done to me," I said, sighing, not finishing my sentence because everyone got it.
"Yeah, but I still have teeth marks on my butt," Jake pretty much screamed from the end of the table.
"You put me in a box and I couldn't get out or breath, so I bit your butt! Which, I remind you, was right in front of my face, so don't be angry at me," I screamed back at the raven haired boy.
"You-," he cut himself off. "Okay, you win," he finally admitted, smiling at me.
As he spoke, a knock echoed through the large house. Sam stood up quickly to go see who had knocked on the door.
I jumped in my seat as the knock seemed to have a lot of force behind it. Jess tensed up next to me, now hooking her arm around mine.
Sam walked back into the living room, his friend Seamus following him, his short curly hair bouncing atop his head. "Hello, sorry for interrupting," he said softly, his voice almost seeming to ring through my ears. I have never seen him before, besides my brother talking to him on the phone loudly.
He's a lot more handsome in person than I thought.
^Awe, cute. She thinks I'm handsome.^
My face immediately went pale, he just read my mind.
