My eyes began to droop and I knew it was getting late and time for me to sleep. I looked at the blueish-white number on the clock.

"It's only 1:27?" I sighed to myself. I pulled into a rest stop as I shook Seamus a little. "Wake up!" I sang softly.

His eyes fluttered open. "Y-yes?" He asked, his face tired yet hot at the same time.

"Shit." I said to myself.

^What?^ he said back.

"Wake up!" I said a little louder, feeling my face become a little red. "I hate that we can read each others minds." I followed.

"Eh, it's kind of cute seeing you get all flustered." He said with a small smirk painted on his face.

My face become a darker shade of red. "I'll be back I have to use the bathroom." I said before running to the rest stop's doors.

I screamed to myself as I when into the bathrooms.

He switched seats and turned the key that was in his hand and turned on the air, while waiting.

I walked out of the rest stop with two bottles of water and two hot dogs in my hands. As I sat back into the seat I gave him the hot dog and put his bottle of water into the cup holder.

"Do we need gas?" I asked before taking a bite of the hot dog.

"No, we have half a tank and like five more hours to go." He said as he stretched, his muscles flexing in the process.

I looked away, again blushing. "Let's going, shall we?" I said looking out the window.

"Okay." He said giving my head a little pat.

The sun began to go behind the mountains. "Are you scared?" He asked out of the blue.

I thought for a second, "Of course I am. I am horrified." I said quietly.

"Really? You don't seem scared at all." He said with a little gasp.

"I have been scared sense I watched my best friends' dad be run over." I said softly, tears again threatening to fall.

"You don't ever seem scared." He said again.

"You can read my mind, but yet I still block all thoughts out." I said, tears now slowly falling down my face.

"Hey. Don't cry, it's going to be okay." He said, wiping a tear from my face with one of his hands.

"Nothing seems like it's okay. My family looked at me like I was my father who was abusing one of us kids." I said, finally breaking down it all hitting me at once.

He pulled off to the side of the road, pulling me onto his lap. "Look at me." He said softly, his voice ringing through my ears soothingly.

I looked at him, my gold eyes now brimmed with red from crying.

"I'm right here okay, we are going to get through this together. I'm not leaving your side sweetheart." He said kissing my nose.

My face burning a deep shade of red, I shoved my face into his chest. "What if it's a trap, or even if we make it. I can't go back home." I said.

"Your family doesn't hate you, just explain what happened. I promise I will protect you, we will go back home and live our lives out okay?" He said, his big hands softly going up and down my back.

I nodded, my tears somewhat drying on my face.

"We still have a lot more time to get there, would you like to sleep for a while?" He asked still holding me.

I again nodded, "J-just d-don't move, k?" I said softly leaning on him.

"I'm going to lean the seat back." He said as he leaned the seat back and wrapped both of his arms around my back.

"Goodnight." I said as I let my eye lids fall down. A jacket soon fell onto my back warming me up.

"Goodnight baby." He softly muttered.
