I woke up, still on his chest. I debated getting up or not unaware that he was already awake."Good morning sleepyhead." He said with a big, beautiful smile.
I blushed with a violent red, "M-morning. Sorry." I said attempting to move back to the passenger seat.
"Your fine here if you want to sleep some more." He said softly.
"I'm not really tired, but I do have to use the restroom." I said sitting up a little.
He gave a little gasp, but quickly suppressed it.
I soon got what he gasped and moved to the passenger seat. "S-sorry." I said again, looking out the window.
He just laughed a little, causing me to look at him. "It's okay." He said again with a soft smile on his lips.
He leaned in a little closer as did I and our lips made contact. A short burst of energy spiraling through them. He backed away getting some air.
"Let's find you a rest stop." He said as adjusted the chair.
I nodded, buckling up and sitting back. My eyes were still a bit heavy and drooping a bit.
He drove down the road, my eye lids still falling.
"Were here." He said, putting his hand on my knee.
I slowly opened my eyes, blinking a couple times, as a little blush rushed across my face.
"Thanks, would you mind filling up the tank and ill meet you out here?" I asked, adding a little yawn.
I went into the store and used the bathroom then bought a couple of snacks before going back out to the car to see him waiting for me.
"Here," I said giving him the snacks I had just bought.
"Thank you." He replied, before starting up the engine and pulling back onto the road.
"We've only got like an hour and a half left until were there." I said, looking at the oncoming traffic.
"I'm nervous." He said with a unsettling look on his face.
"I am too, but were way to close to back down now, so not much we can do to help that." I said, attempting to sooth myself and him.
"It's just kinda unfair that we got stuck with this power and we didn't really get a choice." He sighed, adding a little grunt.
"We may have hard times dealing with it, but it's so cool. We could be the only people- the only thing to ever have this power. We are so luck to be able to do the things that we can, we just have to deal with it." I said with a little laugh.
He nodded, "I guess, it's just I don't know why the universe chose us." he said, again adding a little sigh.
"I know it kinda sucks sometimes, but we can read people's minds. That's amazing, when we were younger, do you remember having answer the questions about 'what power would you want if you could have one?'. I would always kinda laugh, because everyone wanted to be able to read peoples minds, but we didn't really have to wish for it." I said laughing to the point of bending over.
He laughed as well, "I've never thought about that, it just seemed normal at this point." he said.
"I kno- that's the place." I said, my smile immediately dropping the fun aurora surrounding us.
"Oh," He said, his voice dropping to a low, almost sad tone.
He turned onto the dirt trail, we continued for about 20 minutes, before the trail stopped. We parked and sat for a second thinking over what we should do. I looked behind us, to see a black car pulling down the same path.
It stopped right behind us for a second. The engine shut off, making everything around us become quiet again, until someones voice popped in our heads.
"Hello, hello. I know you can hear me, I can hear you both. Don't be afraid, i'm the one who called you here, glad you made it." The voice said, before the car door behind us opened and a tall blond haired man stepped out, wearing a black suit with a single white tie on it.
He made his way over to our car, knocking on the window.
Seamus rolled the window down, almost unwillingly. "Hi." He said to the strange tall man.
"Hello, get out if you will. Your test and explanation will come soon." He said, as he began to walk.
We slowly followed the tall man into the brush. I gave Seamus a quick glance of concern, almost screaming. "I can't read his mind!" I thought, hoping Seamus would hear me.
^I can't either, what's going on?^(Seamus)
Everyone has a thought going through their heads, all day long, every minute, every second. People subconsciously think, even when they are dreaming. That's when you get the weirdest stories, also why I can barely ever fall asleep.
"I'm not sure, I want to know though." I thought, back to him.
^Let's just follow him, but keep your guard up.^(Seamus)
"Okay," I again thought back to him, before about running into his back, as he bumped into the tall man's back.
"You two really think I can't hear you? It's kinda cute, you two really do have the string." He said.
Seamus and I looked at each other with confusion, "What's the 'string'?" I asked with concern laced in my voice.
"'The string of destiny's is a red thread that connects to you and your soul mate's pinkie finger. Ahh don't worry about it, lets keep going." The man, again said.
We both looked at each other, not sure if we should follow him or turn around and run.
"We're hear," He said, stopping our thoughts all together as we about ran into each other again.
