Bricktown Beast

Chapter 25

It's now night time and Sam is lying on her bed in her bedroom writing in her diary and she sees pentagrams appear on her walls. She goes to run out of her room, but her door is slammed shut and she can't open it. She turns around and sees Asmodeus sitting in her bed staring at her with his eyes glowing red.

"I think I am going to make this town my kingdom, it's right by the ocean." Asmodeus gets up and stands where Sam carved the pentagram.

"I thought you were locked away!"

Asmodeus shakes his head, "I am a demon, you really think a bunch of mortal iron bars will keep me from killing people?"

Sam just stands there as Asmodeus stares her down some more, "I think you killed enough people now it's time to stop ok?"

Asmodeus laughs, "Alright, but the other five demons are going to kill more people."

"Other demons?" Sam panics.

Asmodeus smiles and doesn't say a word.

Sam looks out the window and sees all her neighbors come out of their houses. They all are packing boxes and stuff into their cars and speeding off. She turns on the television which is on her dresser and changes it to the news.

"For some unknown reason people have been rushing to leave Brick, New Jersey since this morning." says the female news anchor.

"Well some residents claim there is a demon called the 'Bricktown Beast' haunting the town killing people and the only way to get away from him is to leave Brick." says the male news anchor.

"Sounds strange and it is causing massive traffic jams to the point where some people are using bikes or even walking, total confusion."

"Well it's going to take a long time to empty out that town, over 70,000 residents live there!"

Sam sits back on her bed and sighs, "Well at least you won't be able to kill them anymore."

Asmodeus shakes his head, "Sam, those people are still not safe, like I said the other five demons are going to kill more people."

"Wait no! No! Don't tell me you can-"

Asmodeus looks down at her, "Yes I can now!"

Sam gets up and starts to attack Asmodeus, "No, you won't you bastard!"

Asmodeus over powers her and throws her through her door, "Enough! You cannot destroy me it is too late, the world is mine now!"

Sam runs downstairs into the kitchen and grabs a knife and splashes holy water on it, "Come and get me demon!"

The kitchen is small and has a white tiled floor. The cabinets are a light brown and there are sliding glass doors leading to the back patio. The kitchen is also the dining room and right by it is the living room which has a big HDTV and of course an alarm system since they live by a high crime area.

Asmodeus walks into the kitchen and sees the knife in her hand, "Alright, let's fight!"

Sam runs towards Asmodeus with the knife aiming towards his heart, but Asmodeus grabs her hand and throws her into the cabinets, "Damn you're powerful, but I'm not giving up, I'm going to destroy you!" Sam then gets back up and she is covered in scratches.

"Whoa you look beat, don't you know that even if you do kill me, I'll just come back again, you can't really destroy evil, it will always exist!"

"Well I'm destroying it!" Sam charges after Asmodeus again, but he runs outside the front door and she runs into the door, "Ow! Damn demon!" then she passes out.

Asmodeus runs outside and runs down the street.

Sam wakes up the next morning in the backseat of a car, "Where am I?"

"You're in your mother's car, we are in Point Pleasant." says her father who is in the front seat next to her mother who is driving.

"What happened?"

"We found you knocked out by the front door with a knife in your hand, we thought you were suicidal for a minute, then we saw a bump on your head and we figured you chased an intruder out of the house."

"Yeah, but he got away, now he's going to kill everyone!"

"I hope you called the police then!"

"The police can't do anything, he's not human, he's a demon, I tell you!"

Sam's father looks at her, "You mean the Bricktown Beast?"

"Bricktown Beast!?"

"Yeah that's what some people call this so called demon that has been killing all those people in town, well I don't believe in that kind of stuff, but your mother thinks, there really is a demon in Brick so now she wants to move back to Point Pleasant!"

"Is the demon's name, Asmodeus by any chance?"

Sam's father turns to his wife, "Asmodeus is the guys name right?"

Sam's mother nods her head, "Yeah, but he can't leave Brick so we'll be safe here in Point Pleasant."

The family pulls into a driveway and the father speaks up, "Here's our new home!"

The house is an old brown 1800s house with two stories and a high pitched roof. The porch almost wraps around the whole house and has wooden steps leading up to the front door.

Sam gets out of the car, "It's not really our new home, since it's Aunt Patty and Uncle Fred's house."

"Well they say we can live with them until we buy our own house."

"Why don't we just kick them out and just live here ourselves?"

"No, we can't do that Sam!"

"Fine, but can we at least kick Joey out, he's a pain in the ass."

"Sam, come on just be happy your family wasn't killed and that we are all safe now."

"Alright, but he better not bother me."

Sam's parents and her all go inside the house and Asmodeus is standing outside on the sidewalk grinning, "Foolish humans think they are safe that everyone left Brick, but little do they know that I am now powerful enough to leave. I guess I'm off to awaken the other demons" Asmodeus then walks away.
