Chapter 22: March 30 - Friday

Demer is sitting in his office looking at his hurt hand, "Stupid bastard, I wish they still had the death penalty in New Jersey so they fry this guy!"

Demer's office is twice the size as McArthur; it has white walls with black cabinets around the room. His desk is black and in the center of his office and he has a better computer than McArthur too. The office is very messy and he has piles of case files waiting for whom else but McArthur to solve for him.

Demer continues looking at his hand, then he puts it down on the desk and sees Asmodeus standing in the doorway smiling, "What!? How the hell did you escape!?"

Asmodeus walks slowly up to his desk and tilts his head, "I told you I was a demon, how do you expect to keep a demon locked up in a mortal trap?"

Demer gets up and pulls out his gun and points it at Asmodeus, "Try to escape this one then!" He shoots at Asmodeus, but he jumps in the air and lands on top of one of the cabinets, "What the hell!?"

"Hey stupid, up here!" Asmodeus looks down at Demer as he is squatting on top of the cabinets.

Demer looks up at Asmodeus and grins at him, "Oh you wise ass!" Demer starts shooting at Asmodeus again, but Asmodeus just starts crawling on the walls really fast, then Demer runs out of bullets as soon as Asmodeus crawls onto the ceiling, "Damn it!" So he throws the gun at Asmodeus's head, but he dodges the gun.

Asmodeus jumps down from the ceiling and lands on his feet onto Demer's desk, "I told you I was a demon!" He jumps off the desk and stares into Demer's eyes, "You never really were ever a hero, I made it easy for you to catch me."

Demer pushes Asmodeus out of his face, "No I am a hero, I stopped you from killing more innocent people!"

"It's too late my friend, I can not be stopped, once awoken I am immortal and when I leave this town I will return to the church to awaken the five other demons and then when we are powerful enough we will combine into Lucifer."

"Ok Mr. Demon, now it is time for you to go back into your cell!" Demer grabs Asmodeus, but he frees himself and flies into the bottom draw of the filing cabinet. So Demer runs over and tries to open the draw but it's locked, "Wise ass come out of there!"

McArthur comes into Demer's office and sees him yelling at the filing cabinet, "Demer what the hell are you doing, I heard gun shots."

Demer jumps up and runs over to McArthur and points over to the filing cabinet, "He's in the filing cabinet, he ran around the walls, now he's in the filing cabinet!"

McArthur walks over to the filing cabinet and opens up the bottom draw, "Nobody is in here." He looks back over to Demer, "I don't know what you're talking about, this draw is empty and nobody can fit in this draw."

Demer runs over to McArthur and looks down at him, "Asmodeus just jumped in there I swear!"

McArthur gets up, "We locked him up in the cell, how can he escape? The alarm would of went off."

"He was in my office, he's hiding somewhere in here!"

McArthur pulls Demer towards the door, "He's in the cell come on I'll show you."

Demer frees himself, "No it's empty!" Demer then starts to run out the door, "Wait here I'll show you it's empty!"

McArthur follows Demer to the backroom door, "Ok, I'm telling you it's not empty Demer."

Demer starts to open the door and looks back to McArthur, "No, it is see!" Demer opens the door and Asmodeus is sitting peacefully on the bed in the holding cell.
