We woke up the next morning super early and took advantage of the showers. I took the bottles of soap and conditioner because.. well.. why not?

"I wanna be there way before the movers. You ready kiddo?" My Dad said grabbing both of our bags.

I nodded my head and we walked out of the hotel with bags of clothes and personal belonging in tow.

A hot ass blonde tall guy skated by on his skateboard and I smiled politely.
He kept looking at me while he skated.

I kept my head down and walked a little faster. I hadn't quite decided weather I'd go to school and do the whole "Senior year of High school experience" or just be homeschooled. But I still wasn't ready for any interaction with anyone my age yet.

We loaded the truck and drive out of the parking lot towards our new house. When we got there the moving trucks had just arrived. They were unloading bigger furniture and helping my dad. I helped with little boxes and did as much as I could. 4 to 5 hours later we were done unloading and the movers left.

My dad had gone to a local restaurant to get us lunch and dinner. I knew how to cook very well but I really didn't feel like making anything.

We finished eating and started putting things away from the boxes.

"So how about we use some of this furniture that they left and the rest of it we sell and maybe save up to get you a car?" My Dad said opening up one of the boxes.

"Actually. In the shed in the backyard, there's an old classic car that looks like it's in pretty good shape. You should take a look at it." I said opening one of the boxes that said (Kitchenware. DO NOT BREAK!) and put stuff away in the kitchen.

"Yeah I can take a look at it tomorrow before I go into work. Have you decided weather or not you want to go to school or be homeschooled?" He asked pulling out picture frames and house decor.

"I'm thinking homeschooled. It would give me more time to take online art classes for University of Seattle. I'm thinking about getting a part time job too." I said.

"Okay. That's good enough for me." He said as he pushed the couches around.

We put away things in the house before heading upstairs to finish the rooms and bathroom.

The movers helped move most of the big furniture like bed frames, mattresses, dressers, and office furniture. The other things me and my dad could handle so we got a pretty good workout hauling up boxes of stuff up and down the stairs.

"This is like a shitty version of firefighter training huh?" I laughed as we carried up a large box up the stairs together.

"Yeah." My dad laughed along before we set it down in my bedroom.

We stopped to catch our breath. And sat back down on the stairs.

"Dad can I ask you something?" I asked looking at my fingernails.

"Yeah kiddo, what is it?" He asked turning towards me.

"Did you ever feel like you weren't meant to live a different life? Like the life your living is a life that you shouldn't be living?" I asked.

He paused for a moment before responding, " Well kiddo I think that when you're at the age that your at, you start to wonder where you really fit in in life. Either with boys or with peers or family even. But yeah, it's normal to feel that you're not living the life you should be living."

I thought on his words.

"My advice would be to live the life you want to live. Do what your gut and heart is telling you to do. And don't doubt it." He said patting my knee. "Good talk. This is the deepest thing we've ever talked about." He laughed.

"Don't get used to this mushy shit." I laughed.

After another two hours we finally finished moving things upstairs and decorating and moving things into the rooms.

I kept the bed frame that was originally there. I put my bed in between the closet and the window facing the door. The desk was next to my closet and my dresser was in front of the wall with the window close to it.

I hung up my posters and framed art and put all my books and knickknacks in place. I hung the giant dream catcher I had gotten next to my window that now had curtains and comfy pillows on the seat part of the window sill.

We ate the dinner that my dad had bought for us and tried to get the TV to work so we could watch a movie.

With no success, we decided to go to bed. I laid in bed that night wondering if my life was supposed to be this way. If I was going along to the set out milestones of my life and what would happen if I didn't follow through.
