Song for this chapter: Please don't go - Joel Adams

I stripped down of my clothing. I didn't want to shred anymore clothing. I let the tears fall before I shifted into my wolf.

I had only been letting my wolf out during training so she could get stronger too. Tonight I was determined. I'd run the whole territory. Part of me wanted to do it just so I could say "I'm strong enough" to Marcus, but I also wanted to do it for myself.

I took off into the snowy forest. I put my walls down and took off. The wind and snow against my fur felt nice.

My muscles weren't aching but I was going fast so they would be soon.

I zipped in and out between trees and over large rocks. My mind was no longer filled with any emotions other than determination.

My breathe was smoky as it came out of my panting mouth as I ran. I had almost finished running half the territory.

I was near my house. I could smell my old Dad and..

Corey?

I slowed down as I approached the edge of my forest. My window in clear view.

I smelt another smell. A female.

It was Mia.

I crouched low on the ground and checked my surroundings as I heard voices near the shed.

It was Mia. She was laughing. She was hugging Corey against the shed.

I stood back up not feeling a threat. My dad must be in the house. I moved so I could see where they were.

I focused on listening to what they were saying.

"I still can't believe all of this. I mean.. can you show me your wolf side?" Corey said smiling

"Yeah. Just don't be afraid, it'll still be me in there." Mia laughed.

She went inside the shed. And a few minutes later came back out in wolf form.

She sniffed the air and looked directly as me.

Shit.

I came out from the forest slowly. Corey got behind Mia. He was afraid of me.

I bowed my head down to show him I wasn't a threat but I guess he didn't understand that concept.

Mia shifted back into human form and quickly got dressed.

"Shift Kay." Mia said.

I did as she asked but then remembered that I don't have any clothes.

"Crap." I said covering myself as much as I could.

I looked at her collar bone. There was a fresh mark on her as well as Corey.

Could they be? No fucking way!

"You're marked." Me and Mia said at the same time.

"Last night." I said, "On our date."

"Just a while ago." Mia said smiling. "I'll get you some clothes from your room. Your window is still unlocked right?"

"Yeah." I said. "Thanks."

Mia left toward the wall of my house. I got behind the shed so my dad didn't see me.

Corey was looking up to give me my privacy.

"Where have you been?" He asked "You're Dad and I have been on police searches for weeks."

"You don't remember what happened?" I asked.

"All I know is that we were hanging out and your dad came in and then.. I fell asleep or something and your dad and I were in the car and we went back in the house and looked for you. We've been calling you so many times.." his voice cracked.

I heard Mia's footsteps come up behind me. She handed me some clothes and I quickly put them on. An old T-shirt and a pair of sweats. She also grabbed me some socks and a pair of tennis shoes.

Corey looked me in the eyes and I saw his pain of losing a friend. He really didn't know what happened. He hugged me tightly before letting go and replacing me with Mia in his arms.

"Can we talk about this later Kay?" She asked. "I don't think Marcus would be too happy to know you're here near your dad."

"Marcus doesn't control me Mia." I rolled my eyes.

"Well I just met my mate so could we have some alone time?" She said holding onto Corey again.

I could tell she was mad that I was naked in front of her mate so I didn't let her sudden bitchy mood bother me too much.

"Tell my dad I'm safe okay?" I said to Corey. "I'll text you."

I went back into the woods, and took off running in my human form. My wolfs muscles were wearing out so I let her rest while I worked out. It was mid-day, and I wasn't really sure why Corey and Mia were at my old house to begin with.

It was cold but since I was running at full speed, I was able to stay warm. I like running. It gave me an outlet for my frustrations and emotions.

When I got back home with Marcus, I'd let him have it. Tell him how it's not fair to take his frustrations out on me. I'm his mate, he's supposed to tell me everything. Especially when it concerns me. And if I'm going to be the future Royal Luna, I demand answers.

It was getting dark outside and my body had had enough. I walked up the steps to the mansion but before I could even touch the door knob, it swung up open with a loud crash.

"Where'd you go?" Marcus said, steam nearly coming out of his ears.

"Oh so you just realized I left?" I said walking past him.

"I was busy Kay. You can't just run off like that!" He yelled.

"Well YOU can't just treat me like I'm your number one priority and then as soon as you mark me, you've got bigger things to deal with. AND on top of that, you don't get to keep things from me!" I yelled on my tippy toes so I could get in his face.

He smirked. The bastard liked that I was mad.

"You still at least could have told me where you were at or where you were going." He said calmly still smirking.

"You're an ass sometimes you know that?"  I turned around so he couldn't see that I was smirking.

The guy made me turn to putty with just one look. I gave him half my speech but then his damn smirk just made me forget about everything.

"Come with me to the office. I'll tell you everything Kay." He said as he wrapped his arms around me from behind.
