Chapter 13

After a long night through Kay's heat, I was finally able to take Kay home with me.

I almost didn't want that night to end. Not just because I was fucking the most perfect woman I'd ever met, but I didn't want to come home to deal with my father's death.

I wasn't sure if I'd be ready to lead a whole kingdom. I also needed to know what happened with Kay.

After our last heated session, I knew Kay's heat was coming to an end. I got her dressed in some spare clothes and took her to the car waiting for us.

Alpha Denis, leader of the Moon Rain packed approached me.

"Once you and her are... feeling better." He tried hard not to smile. "Let me know when we can hold a meeting. With your father's death, there's a lot to talk about. I'd like to meet her too."

He put a hand on my shoulder. As if my dad's death hurt me in some way. Call it what you want but my father should have never been allowed to rule a kingdom. Now I have to clean up from his mess.

"Yeah." I said.

Mike, my driver had known me since birth. He used to let me sit up front when he drove me and my parents around.

"How's the family Mike?" I asked as I got in the car and pulled Kay into my chest.

"Just had another grandkid." He smiled.

"Another?" I laughed "That makes 507 grandpups right?"

"Hey. I've only got 20 now." He laughed.

"Only 20. Thats almost a small pack of its own." I joked.

"Yeah." He laughed "So I'm guessing you'll be having some of your own soon?"

I looked down at Kay who was smiling in her sleep. I rubbed her cheek with my thumb.

"I hope so." I said.

"How is she taking it?" He asked.

"She needs more time. This is all happening too fast." I said. "But she's taking it well. Almost like she knew she was meant for more."

The ride to Kay's house was long. But it was a pit stop back to my place. I wasn't ready to live in the Royal house yet.

"Hey sleepy pup." I said cupping Kay's face in my hands.

~Kay's POV~

I opened my eyes and noticed I was now in a car sleeping on Marcus.

"Where are we?" I asked, my voice still freshly woken.

My throat and body was sore. Memories from the long night that Marcus and I had flooded my mind and I instantly blushed.

"We're almost at your house." He said.

My heart skipped a beat.

"No!" I screamed making the driver swerve a bit. "Marcus no! They'll take me again?"

Thoughts of the things Alpha Nathan would have done to me went through my mind making me cry.

"Shit. What do you mean they'll take you again?" Marcus asked.

His voice was deep. His clenched jaw showed that he was pissed.

"Who took you Kay?" He asked wiping away my tears.

"Me and my friend Corey were hanging out playing video games and.. my dad came home and then him and Corey put this medicine in me that made me drowsy and I couldn't move and I couldn't talk and they took me to this dark house where Alpha Nathan lived and then my mom was there and-" I was full on sobbing.
