I woke up the next morning, got out of bed and opened my window. Today was a scorcher.

That's Derry summer for you.

"Hi, Dallas," I said.

"Hey, Prim," greeted Dallas. "Got any plans for today?"

"Not much. I might go out this afternoon," I said trying to be vague. I had plans to meet Henry this afternoon, I was definitely not going to miss this for anything.

"Okay, tell me if you want a lift anywhere," Dallas said.

I nodded.

"Cole here?" I asked.

"No, he went to work. Won't be back till late tonight," Dallas said.

"Well that's a relief," I said.

"Prim, I'm never going to let him hurt you," Dallas reassured.

I finished my fruit loops and went outside at around eleven in the morning, so I could get my tan a little darker, then it would be perfect.

"Hey Prim, I'm gonna go get the rest of the Losers and then go hang out," Bill asked as he rode past on his bike. 

"Let me go get my bike and tell my brother where I'm going," I said. 

I went back inside.

"Hey, Dal," I said. "I'm going out with the Losers for a while."

"Alright, stay safe," said Dallas.

I went out back and rode my bike out to the front yard where Bill was waiting.

"What are we gonna do?" I asked.

"I don't mind, maybe just ride around?" Bill suggested.

"Fine with me," I said, getting on my bike.

"We'll go to Eddie's house first since it's closer," Bill said.

We rode the five minutes over to Eddie's house and went inside, we didn't bother knocking.

Richie was there with them in the kitchen.

"Hey, guys," I said.

"Hey," said Eddie.

"Hey Prim, hey Bill," Richie said.

"What're you guys doing?" I asked.

"We were just comin' out to get you guys," Eddie said.

"And we're also getting some snacks," Richie added.

I went to help Richie take stuff out of the kitchen cupboards.

"Take everything but the Delicious Deals guys, Mum loves 'em," Eddie warned us.

I took out some cinnamon buns and Richie took out some Oreo's and started grabbing everything that he saw.

"I just called Stan and Bill," Eddie said. "They'll be over here soon. Why don't we go to the cliff and have a picnic?"

The cliff is a cliff, obviously, where us Losers go to hang out sometimes, it's the one we jump off into the quarry.

"Sure," I said.

Richie opened another cupboard, revealing heaps of pills.

"Hey Eddie, these your birth control pills?" Richie asked.

"He's saving them for your sister," I said, causing everyone else to laugh.

The front door slammed shut as Stan and Ben walked into the kitchen.
