"But they hate me!" Exclaimed Henry.
"Maybe so," I admitted. "But you have to try."
Henry sighed. "I've got a bad feeling about this."
"Of course you do, you guys are practically enemies, it's normal. But, if you tell them what we practised you should be fine. I mean they're pretty understanding people. Except for maybe Richie," I told him.
"What're you guys doing?" Dally asked, walking into my room.
"Not much," I said.
Dally looked concerned. "You sure?"
"We're just talking about my apology," Henry said.
"To who?" Dally asked.
"The Losers," Henry told him.
"Why are you apologizing to them?" Dally asked.
"Because I haven't been nice in the past," Henry said quickly.
"Well that's... mature of you," Dally said calmly.
"It sure is. See ya!" I said, pushing Dally out of the room before I shut the door.
"So, I'm gonna meet them at our usual spot near the cliff later today," I said. "So in the meantime, we'll hang out with Vic, Belch, and Patrick like you said."
Henry nodded. "Let's go then."
We left my room and headed out.
"Where are you two off too?" Dally asked.
"Just out," I told him.
"Be safe," Dally called.
"I always am!" I called back as I closed the screen door.
"What's she doing here?" Asked Belch.
I gave Belch an evil smile.
"Be nice," warned Henry.
I sat in the back squished between Henry and Vic.
"Hey," said Vic seductively.
"Hey," I said back.
Vic's eyes scanned me from top to bottom. He reached out a hand towards me but I moved and knocked Henry into the door before he could touch me.
"No way," I said.
"Sorry," Vic said, sounding annoyed.
"What's going on?" Henry said angrily.
"Nothing," Vic and I said in unison.
Instead, he put his arm over the seat where I was sitting. I rolled my eyes.
"Where are we going?" I asked.
Belch turned around from the steering wheel and gave me a smile. "You'll see."
We turned down a laneway, where I saw Mike getting off his bike with a meat delivery. Belch floored the gas pedal and stopped right in front of him.
"STAY OUTTA OUR TOWN!" Patrick yelled viciously.
Belch then turned up the music really loud and drove off. I opened the door and threw myself out of the car, landing on the ground. My whole body ached.
"Prim! What the fuck did you do that for?" Asked Henry, running over to me.
I got up and helped Mike up.
"Mike are you okay?" I asked.
"Yeah," Mike said quietly.
"I'm so sorry I had nothing do to with that," I said quickly.
"Yeah, neither did I," Henry said.
"Henry," I snapped.
"No, I really didn't," Henry argued.
"It's true. He actually apologized to me yesterday," Mike confirmed.
"You did, Henry?" I asked in awe.
"Yeah," Henry said.
I gave Henry a big smile.
"I'm proud of you," I said.
"He was pretty easy to forgive. I mean I haven't been living here for long, might as well not have enemies," Mike explained.
"Well doesn't this make it easier to apologize to the Losers as well?" I asked.
"A bit," Henry said.
"You could do it now?" Suggested Mike. "I'm heading to the quarry now."
"So are we," I said, making a decision for the both of us.
It was a decent walk to the quarry, and then there was the massive hill.
"Fuck off Bowers!" Yelled Richie as Mike, Henry and I approached them.
"Come on guys. Let's go," urged Bill.
"No, stop," I insisted.
"I just wanted to say something. I know you all hate me, and I can understand that. But the real reason I do this stuff isn't that I want to. It's mostly my dad talking. I mean, he doesn't treat me well at all. I'm scared to go home sometimes, and I get beaten if I don't beat other people. I've been trying harder to stand up to my Dad lately and fix up my life, like getting back the people that mean the most to me," Henry said, smiling at me. I smiled back. "And I've also apologized to people I've hurt, and now I wanna apologize to you guys. You don't have to accept my apology, but I can try and show you how sorry I am."
Everyone was silent.
"Henry," began Bill. "You can h-hang out with us, and if you treat us like f-f-friends should, then we'll f-forgive you."
"What? No!" Cried Richie.
"Richie!" Scolded all the other Losers.
Richie rolled his eyes and gave in.
"You got a bike, Bowers?" Asked Eddie.
"Yeah, back at my house. Also just call me Henry," Henry corrected.
"What do you guys wanna do?" I asked.
"Why don't we just ride our bikes and see where we end up?" Bill suggested. "We'll ride slowly since you guys don't have bikes."
"Hey, that reminds me, I need to show you guys something," I said, as we walked and rode along a side street.
"What?" Eddie asked.
"It's back at my house," I said.
"Something happened. I-I heard voices coming from the sink, then something grabbed me, next thing I know my whole bathroom's is covered in blood," I told them.
"So... Is what you're showing us more than we see when we go swimming at the quarry?" Richie said.
"Shut up Richie," I said.
"Yeah, shut up Richie," Stan snapped.
"Gee, sorry. I'm not the one who imagined my bathroom going all Eddie's Mum's vagina on Halloween!" Richie said.
"Shut up, Richie," snapped Eddie.
"No, she didn't imagine it," Bill said. "I saw something too."
"You saw blood too?" Asked Stan.
"No," denied Bill gravely. "I saw G-G-Georgie. It seemed so real. I mean it seemed like him but there was this-this..."
"The clown," stated Eddie. "Yeah, I saw him too."
Ben nodded, so did Stan, Mike, and Henry.
"Can only virgins see this stuff? Is that why I'm not seein' this shit?" Asked Richie.
Stan rolled his eyes.
So we were all seeing stuff.
