I woke up the next morning in the bath, I obviously fell asleep in it. I had a terrible headache and my back really hurt. I probably slept on it funny in the bath. I finished up and got out. I dried my hair, got dressed, sprayed some perfume on and brushed my teeth. I didn't feel like eating anything and my head and back were still aching, so I decided to go to the drug store to get some aspirin since we were out if it.

I started walking along the narrow gravel path and turned onto the road, the cool breeze made the soon to be ending heat bearable.

"Hey," said Vic, running up to me.

"Hey," I greeted.

"What's up?" Vic asked.

"Not much. I'm just going to go get some aspirin," I said.

"Everything okay?" Vic asked.

"Yeah," I said, not really in the mood for a conversation.

"You know, I saw you and Henry that night," Vic said quickly.

"What?" I questioned.

"You guys on the hill. Kissing," Vic confirmed.

"Oh," replied. "And?"

"Nothing. I-I was just saying," Vic stuttered.

"I know there's more," I insisted.

"Is there something between you guys?" Vic asked curiously.

I shook my head no.

"Then why the hell did you guys kiss?" Vic asked, sounding intrigued.

"It's complicated, we didn't really talk about it," I told him.

"Why not?" Vic asked. "I mean, isn't that kind of unhealthy?"

"It just seemed right at the time, and I've got enough going on right now to admit anything to myself or have a conversation like that with Henry," I explained.

"Look," Vic started. "We're good friends yeah?"

"I consider you one of my best friends," I said.

"Well, me too," agreed Vic. "Which means I know you well, and I know Henry really well too. And it's obvious that you guys are in love."

"What?" I scoffed, trying to make it sounds like he was wrong when deep down, I knew that he was right.

"Come on," Vic urged. "Admit it."

"There's nothing to admit," I told him.

"Look, when you said that you've got enough going on right now, did you mean anything besides that clown?" Vic asked.

"Yeah," I said.

"Tell me," Vic said. "You can tell me anything."

"I'm pregnant," I blurted out.

"What?" Vic snapped. "How? Whose?"

"Well to answer how, sex. And who, my dad," I said matter of factly.

"Oh god," Vic said, sounding shocked. "I thought it was Henry's or Patrick's or something."

I opened the door of the drug store and headed to the medication aisle, and then something in the womans aisle caught my eye. All the pregnancy tests were gone, and there was a sign that read 'All pregnancy tests have been recalled'.

I quickly walked up to the counter.

"Mr Keene, why did the pregnancy tests get recalled?" I asked.

"They were faulty. They all automatically went to positive no matter what," Mr Keene told me.

"All of them? But they were different brands," I pointed out.

"They're all made in the same place," Mr Keene said.

"Looks like you're off the hook, better tell Bowers he ain't gonna be a dad. Or any of those losers you hang out with, or him," Greta said, gesturing to Vic from behind her magazine as she sat behind the counter.

I rolled my eyes.

"I still want to get an actual test, just in case," I said.

"We can do one in the back here," Mr Keene said. "I'm trained in that area."

"Um, okay," I agreed.

I followed Mr Keene into the back room and he instructed me to sit down on a bed.

"We're going to need a blood sample," Mr Keene said.

I mentally prepared myself for the needle, trying not to get a panic attack. I usually did when I got any kind of injection, I just wanted this whole thing to be over and to get the results. He took some blood in the syringe and put it in something that looked like a microscope.

"You aren't pregnant," Mr Keene said.

"Thank you," I said, walking back into the store over to Vic.

"Let's get out of here," I said.

"What a creep," Vic said.

"Just forget it," I said.

"Hey!" Someone called.

It was Henry. He Belch and Patrick were in the Trans Am.

"Hey," I said.

"Hows everything?" Henry asked me as Belch slowed the car down.

"Henry, I'm not pregnant! The tests were faulty," I said happily.

Henry got out of the car, gave me a hug and kissed me on the cheek. Belch, Patrick, and Vic made kissing faces and sex motions behind his back. I rolled my eyes.

Henry turned around to see the others snickering. "Whats so funny?"

"Nothing, nothing," Belch quickly said as they stopped laughing, smirks still apparent on their faces.

"I'm going to go get some protein powder," Henry said. "Wanna come?"

I nodded. "We'll see you guys later."

Henry and I opened the door of the drug store, and there was a small kid in a red t-shirt at the counter. Eddie. I nudged Henry and gestured to Eddie.

"Let's go say hi," I said.

"Yeah," Henry asked. "Just let me go get my shit."

I went over to get some tampons.

"Do those hurt?" Henry asked as he came over to the womans aisle.

"Nah," I said.

"Does it feel like a dick?" Henry asked.

I began walking to the counter and Henry pulled me back, giving me a face as to say 'I wanna know'.

"The first time you have sex it doesn't feel good exactly, it just feels like there's a dick inside you. It's the same with tampons," I explained. "I guess if I was to move it in a certain way it might feel good, but it small and made from cotton, so maybe not."

"Oh, so do you think it feels good?" Henry asked. "You know, moving it around?"

"I don't know Henry," I said, trying to stop this weird conversation. "I've never tried."

"Hi, Eddie!" I said.

"Prim!" Eddie chirped, giving me a hug. "I missed you."

"I missed you too," I said.

"EDDIE!" Yelled Mrs. Kasprak from the first aid aisle.

"Uh, bye Prim, bye Henry," Eddie said quickly as he went over to his mum.

"How dare you!" Mrs. Kasprak scolded. "I said to stay away from filth like that! I said stay away from all those misfits!"

I heard Mrs Kasprak's muffled voice scolding Eddie as Henry and I purchased our items and left the store.
