"Oh, okay!" I followed after the maid, and she dumped some heavy dresses into my arms.

"The Princess sent me to collect more dresses for her to try on. I may need help putting them on her and taking them off and keeping them all in neat condition," the maid told me.

"I can help, but in an hour—"

"I can't imagine you have anything more important to do than to help the Princess of Aregano," the maid snapped.

"Well, the Prince returns from wherever he has gone in an hour, and—"

"Oh, I see. You are one of his little fans, anxiously awaiting his return."

"No! I'm not! You see—"

"Don't consider yourself special. Every girl here is vying for him, you know."

"I know that, but I'm—"

"Including myself. But you don't see me dropping everything to go greet him when he arrives. We have jobs to do," she scolded me.

"I know, and that's why—"

"What are you, Embryian? Your accent suggests it. Well here in Aregano you'll find that desperation isn't attractive, as it might be to your weak Embryian boys."

"Excuse me?" I retorted. How did this conversation get here?! And how dare she insult my country! "I am not desperate and neither is—"

"You aren't? Really? That's pretty unbelievable—"

I threw the array of dresses I was carrying onto the floor. This chick wasn't bothering to hear me out and I was sick of it.

"The dresses!" she shrieked.

"Listen up. I am the personal maid to Prince Coleman, and thus it is my job to be there when he returns. It's not some desperate move to gain his affections. It's literally my job, Miss Whatever-your-name is." She looked surprised. "Oh, and by the way, Embryian boys are not weak. Just because our Prince Alexander doesn't treat people like crap and doesn't suck like your precious Prince does, doesn't make us weak!"

"Did you just insult—"

"So maybe you should stop insulting people and assuming that I'm some Prince Coleman groupie when I'm just trying to effectively do my job so I can get paid!"

As if I would ever be a Prince Coleman fangirl!

Besides, Prince Alexander for life.
