Tessa's POV

"But what if I like doing this?" Said Chance...

"Wait you do?!"

"Kind of. You've been a good friend and have made my parents happy. Besides Tess, things will work out. But can we at least try to get along and be friends?"

"Umm sure."

I got off of Chances lap and sat in the seat next to him. I weakly smiled. Today has been tragic and I would never wish this on peven my worst enemy...

A few hours later...

We arrived in New York and walked up to the apartment blinding Erika lives inside of. She is a model and owns the penthouse here and she said there will be planets of space and for us to stay as long as we would like. The elevator chimed and Chance and I stepped in. I sinning relies we were holding hands until I went to grab my suitcase. Chance beat me to it and pulled it. Shins him while we walked to Erika's door. Knock knock!

Erika-"There you guys are! So you guys get the first bedroom On the right. I'm so sorry I can't tour you around but I'm late for a shoot. Here's a spare key if you go anywhere and Tessa. I'm so sorry about you family. I really am. That's such a terrible thing."

Erika gave me a hug and I thanked her while she bounced out of the door handing Chance the spare key. I shut the door behind us and walked to our room while Chance set the stuff down. The room was elegant, much like my room in my old house. It brought back memories and before I knew it I was crying. Chance gave me a little kiss and wiped away my tears. "T the  lawyers called me. They said to meet them at a dinner at someplace for dinner." I nodded and changed into a black dress, finishing my look with elegant blood red stilettos. I found Chance in the living room and he wrapped his arm around my waist, leading me down the stairs.

The uber pulled up to a huge place and we walked in to find two men dressed in tuxedos.

Man 1-"Hello I'm Bryan. Your parents lawyer."

Man 2-"and I'm Andrew, a representive from the state."

Tessa-"Hello, I'm Tessa brooks their third eldest daughter and this is my fiancé Chance Sutton."

Chance-"Hello."

I took a seat next to Chance and we chatted a bit making small talk.

Chance-"So what's in the will?"

Bryan-"Well Tessa your parents left very specific instructions about their money, their part of the mafia, and the umm house."

Tessa-"And?"

Bryan-"You see, as the third child, you inherit the house. And that's all I can find. Now I know all but one of your siblings have passed away so you will also inherit the blue jet, and cruise ship docked in Florida. But the mafia and money go too, umm ."
He squinted at a price of paper.

Bryan-"ahh here we go! The money in all three bank accounts is to be given to... Chance Sutton? Along with all of this stocks and investments."

Chance-"Me?"

Tessa-"WHAT ABOUT THE MAFIA?!"

Andrew-"Oh that will be given to... David and Jackie Sutton. "

I slammed my fist down onto the table and stormed out followed by Chance who chased after me. He grabbed me by the waist and looked me in the eyes.

"Baby girl.."

"What?!" I snapped.

"There's nothing we can do. But don't worry, even through they are giving your family's part of the American mafia to my parents it will become OURS when we are married."

"But they didn't leave anything important to me! That proves how much they hated me Chance! I was the messed up one! Ugh!"

Chance pulled me into a hug and we slowly walked back to Erika's apartment. I stepped through the front door and found Erika in the couch watching gossip girl! "Wanna watch?" She asked me and Chance. "I'm out said Chance, while I jumped in the couch next to her! Chance laughed and walked away into our bedroom. Erika and I talked for a bit, we are really becoming good friends. We talked about our families and I told her about the will, and Bella. And all about how Chance and I were getting married. I invited her to the wedding because  now that I have no family it will be good to have a friend there. When the 2 season ended I made my way to bed and collapsed next to Chance, falling into a deep trap one may call sleep...

Guys I'm so sorry for not updating last night! I wrote this chapter but then my phone died and I was out really late. I'll update twice today!
