Chris' POV- November 2016

"Most people bring their girlfriends flowers after not seeing them for more than two weeks...not coffee"

I glanced at Noel, my little sister before looking at the crowd of people who were making their way over.

"The roses are in the car. It's the box you threw in the backseat when I picked you up" I stated.

She proceeded to punch my arm.

"You could have warned me!"

The roses were okay, I checked the box to make sure. So was my arm, my sister needed to learn how to punch.

"It's alright, you can make it up to me by holding this cup of coffee," I told her as I locked eyes with Camila.

Noel took the coffee from me and I smiled at Camila who was making her way over to me. The smile on her face grew as she got closer. I pulled her up into a hug and felt her legs wrap around my waist. She kissed my cheek and I closed my eyes as I felt her lips against mine. When she pulled away, I felt her lightly cup my face.

"You have no idea how much I missed you"

She wrapped her arms around my neck and pressed my face against her shoulder. I chose to stay quiet because I was pretty emotional at the moment. It had been only two weeks, but I had missed her. The moment was ruined when I felt Noel tug on my sweater.

"I want to greet her too"

Cam kissed my cheek before unwrapping her legs from my waist. I slowly set her down and glared at Noel who was smiling at Camila.

"My brother is a lucky guy, you're too pretty for him"

I got the coffee cup back and watched as my sister hugged my girlfriend.

"How long are you here for?"

"One whole week"

Yup, I was pretty thrilled about that. While they talked, I went to get Cam's suitcase. It was easy to find simply because of the travel tag that was a Star Wars tag. It had Boba Fett on it and at the top, it said, 'Beware, Rogue Luggage'. The tag was old, and I knew that because James had a nearly identical one. His tag had Yoda on it and it said, 'Property of Jedi Master'. I made my way back to them and smiled at Cam when I noticed her looking at the coffee I was holding.

"For you" I said.

"You're the best"

She kissed my cheek and then took the cup.

"You must be tired" I stated.

She took a sip of the coffee and nodded.

"I was telling Noel that there was a baby who cried most of the flight. The poor parents kept apologizing, but it really isn't something they can control"

I put my arm around her shoulder and pulled her closer.

"Let's not keep mom waiting"

Mom was waiting at home with a small buffet of breakfast.

"Honey you are as cute as a button, but I can tell you are exhausted. Darling, show her to your room so she can sleep. While you're at it, take a nap. I kept you up last night"

She did keep me up last night, but I didn't mind.

"Oh honey, there is no need to be embarrassed. You both are adults, and I would not mind grandchildren"

"Ok, we're going upstairs now" I said cutting in.

Mom laughed as Camila's cheeks flushed. I led Cam to the bathroom since I knew she wanted to shower. While she showered, I changed out of my jeans and into a pair of shorts. I was scrolling through my Instagram feed when the door slowly opened.

"Did you have a hard time working the shower?" I wondered.

"I did not"

She ran a towel through her hair and looked down at her phone.

"Did you book your flight already?"

"I actually did" I replied.

I loaded the flight information on my phone and handed it to her. She took the phone and looked at the screen.

"How would you like to meet Monica?"

"Is she anything like Amanda?" I questioned.

She laughed.

"More unfiltered"

"That's possible?" I asked.

Amanda was a nice girl, but she had no form of filter. She said what was on her mind and did not care if anyone was bothered by it. It helped that she stood at 5'9 as well, and had a resting bitch face (her words not mine).

"Well Monica is a first year Law Student"

Ok, that made sense.

"It would be nice to meet her, we could have lunch or something" I suggested.

Her phone chimed and I watched her look down at it. She laughed and turned the screen towards me.

"I like her way of thinking," I said as I read the last text that said,

Sushi?

"There's something you should know about her"

I hummed for her to continue.

"Monica's confidence is something that slowly developed. As a teenager, she struggled with an eating disorder and as corny as it sounds joining a sorority helped her. Believe it or not, she and Mandy are the same age"

"So that means she skipped a grade" I noted.

"Monica was homeschooled, so she finished school a year early. I met her at the beginning of my Junior year. At the time I was president of my sorority chapter, and I had my big annoying the crap out of me to get a little. So I show up to the first night of rush because as president I'm required to show up. I walk in and spot Gen talking with the super petite girl so I make my way over. The second she spoke, I knew I wanted her as my little. Her life goals were what made me decide that she was it"

"What were her life goals?" I asked.

"She told me that when she was six years old, her neighbor had to move away because her dad was deported back to El Salvador. The man was living in the United States as a refugee, but he was forced to go back to the country where he was facing death threats. His family followed, and he and his family were all murdered no less than a month later. Monica wants to be a lawyer not because it's a career that pays well. She wants to be an immigration lawyer because she believes the idea of splitting up families is unethical"

Camila smiled.

"I've literally seen Monica grow up to become this beautiful and self-spoken young lady"

"Well she's got a great role model. Someone who worked their butt off and is now working her dream job" I stated.

She climbed up on the bed.

"So lunch the afternoon you get in?"

"Sounds like a plan" I replied.

She replied and set her phone on the nightstand before cuddling up next to me.

"I missed you too" I mumbled.

I pressed up against her and kissed her forehead. For the first time since I started dating her, she fell asleep before me.
