Camila's POV- July 2016

I turned on the coffee maker and couldn't help but let out a light laugh as I heard Chris' light snore come across from me. Since James was over, Chris gave him the room he had been sleeping in and took the makeshift bed in the living room. So after the said kiss, Chris suggested we talk about it in the morning since James was over. Thankfully I brought extra Chinese food, so James was able to eat. I quietly followed Bambi and Boba into the living room and opened the sliding door to let them out to the backyard. Because Bambi is was a small dog, the small patio was just the perfect size for him. Boba was technically an indoor cat but he liked people watching from the top of the cement wall. He didn't like the outdoors but he did like taking sun baths. The doorbell rang just as I finished closing the sliding door. Before I could react, I heard the front door unlock meaning it was one of my parents. The big question was, which one was it.

"Darn, I was hoping you were all still asleep"

Mom smiled at me as she closed the front door. I made my way over to her and took a grocery bag from her hold.

"Thank you darling"

She had noticed that Chris was asleep on the makeshift bed, so she had lowered her voice. I placed the bag on the counter and turned to look at her. She placed the bag on the kitchen counter before stepping forward to greet me.

"Did you just get up?"

I smiled as she tried to fix my hair.

"Does the hair give it away?" I asked.

"Yes it does"

She gave me a squeeze and kissed my cheek before letting go of me.

"You haven't had breakfast, right?"

I shook my head.

"I barely turned on the coffee maker" I replied.

"Good, good. Sit pretty for me then and keep me company"

"What are you making?" I asked.

"Omelettes and seasoned potatoes"

She knew her way around the kitchen since this was home up until James and I were 3 years old.

"James told me you didn't have work today so I figured I'd drop by and spoil both my babies after I dropped off my youngest baby"

James and I had a little brother, who was 6 years old. Isaac was born nine months after James and I left for college (May 2010).

"Hey mom"

Mom smiled at James as he walked into the room.

"Good morning honey, how was the drive down?"

She lightly scruffed his beard before turning her attention to the seasoned potatoes.

"Worth the wait"

I watched as she glanced up at him.

"These two finally kissed"

Mom gasped and looked at me.

"About time"

I chose to ignore them and looked down at my phone as it chimed. That was when I remembered that I had told my best friend, Gen to come over. We were supposed to have lunch today, but then I was given the day off so I told her to come over for breakfast.

"Is there enough for another plate?" I asked.

"Of course"

I smiled as the doorbell rang.
