The Only Reason- Shawn Mendes FF

After a while sitting in the living room I sighed. ,,I think I'm going to sleep. I'm really tired," I told my granny and she noded.

With my phone in my hands I slowly walked up the stairs. Also I went quietly, because I didn't know if Haley was sleeping.

I know that I just said that I didn't want to wake her up, but I went to her room anyway. Her door was open and I could see her pink room throught it.

She was sitting on her bed with many pillows on it. She was talking with someone.

I slowly knocked on the side of her door and she looked up. ,,Hey Hales can I talk to you?" I asked her.

,,Wait a minute," she said to the phone and she walked to me. Then in front of my eyes she closed the door. I stood there in shock. How could she?

One week later

,,And then you write down this," I told Shawn who was carefully listeting to me. It is a week now that I tutor him and a week that I lie to Cameron.

I can't do it anymore, but for his safety it's the right thing. Also when I'm with Shawn I feel different. Like it's not even me.

He is different now.....I mean he is not a jerk. ,,Yeah I understand," he said. ,,Okay so now you do this test and we'll see what we have to practice more," I told him while putting in front of him a paper.

,,Okay," he said and started to work. While he was doing the exercise I sat there. We were in the park and it was a nice day. The sun was shinning and the birds were singin, it was a beautiful day.

After a while I looked at Shawn who was actually looking at me. ,,Do I have something on my face?" I asked him curios. ,,What?....ehm....No nothing. I just...ehm....you look..." he couldn't finish, because I cut him off.

,,I can't believe it," I said with a growing anger in my voice. ,,Did I say something wrong?'' Shawn asked me not knowing what is happening. ,,Eh..No, it's just my sister....ehm could you wait a minute?" I asked him and he noded.

Then I stood up and I quickly went to the place where I saw my sister. She sat there and she laughed with some kids around her.

After that everything happened really quick. ,,Excuse me!" I said with an anger. ,,What do you want?!" she asked me. I grabbed her arm and I dragged her away.

,,Hey who are you?" some guy asked me. I turned around and I answered him with one sentence. ,,Someone you don't want to deal with," I said and we went away.

Actually Haley went in front of my. ,,Everything's alright?" Shawn asked me when we came to him. ,,Oh I see. Does Cam know about this?" Haley looked at me with a smirk on her face.

,,You should go to school," I ignored her question and she rolled her eyes.  ,,Agh...Rose don't act like you care about me, because I know you don't. You are not my mother okay? So just let me be....I know what you think. That you can be the one that is holding our family together, but you are not. You are not our mom,"she said and then she left.

I couldn't say anything. I stood there and I couldn't move or do anything. She was right I'm not mom and I never was. I felt tears on my cherks and I quickly run away. ,,Rose!" I could hear Shawn calling after me, but I didn't turn around.

,,Can I ehm..join you?" Shawn asked me. I was sitting on a bench for 20 minutes and I was just thinking.

When Shawn sat down we were sitting there in silence. ,,She is right. I'm not our mom....I never was," I said.

,,You know, you never told me about your parents," he told me. ,,Ehm...They were the most amazing people in the world. Unfortunelly they died 10 years ago in a car accident and I promised them in the last moment of their lifes that I will take care of Haley. I think I disappointed them," I said with more tears coming.

Shawn came closer to me. ,,Come here," he said and he wrapped his arms around me. In that moment it felt amazing. It was just us two.

,,You never disappointed them or anyone else," he whispered to my ear. We sat there in a hug and I knew that I won't forget this moment ever.

Can someone change? If you asked me this question month ago a would tell you that noone can change.

But now I think the oposite. Everyone can have a second chance and they can change. I believe in that and they must too.

They just have to find their way to changing.
