Don't listen to the people
Nobody ever listens
The newspaper doesn't tell it
I can't hurt no ones feelings
Don't catch me with no liquor
The reepher I never smoke it
The sleeping I never do it
I'm up and writing my coffin
I'm up and jotting on papers
Inking blots of my image
I notice how black the ink is
It's funny all of my dirt
My sin be blacker than ashes
You are what you speak huh
My heart is a beast
And it's full of deceit
I'm sleeping but in my dreams
My dreams are too big to catch
I'm throwing them up to heaven
God don't you dare give em back
Just take em and start a fire
Where I couldn't spark a flame
If you push me where I'm going
I know it'll be a blaze
I know that I'll be okay
I know that you'll make a way
So I'm running with broken legs
Just glad I'm back in the race
I swear I can see your face
In the distance as I go
Look at the chariots
Coming to carry me home

PoetryI love NoNameGypsy and Jackie Hill Perry. Poetic style with the slight peppering of innocence giving it that flavor I don't hear much. These poems are inspired by them. Love y'all.
