Chapter 3
The school day was almost over but you didn't want the day to end. Today was so easy. No homework, no textbooks, no tests. Every class is the same. You find your class, you pick a seat, the teacher introduces themselves, you get a syllabus telling you what you'll need and how the class will be graded. If only high school could be this simple.
The bell rings and you pick up the one composition book you brought and your binder. You get out of your seat and walk back out into the hallway. You look down at your schedule and school map.
Room 310 chemistry Mr.Bucher
You look at the map and see that your next classroom is just down the hall. You decide that now would be a good time to check out the library which branches off of the same hall you're in right now. You walk through the big entrance to the library and there's barely anyone inside. The library itself is huge and easily the biggest one you've ever been in. You stand there marveling at the molding on the ceiling and all the shelfs of books. library's had always been one of your favorite places to go for some quiet.
"It was built sometime in the 20's" a familiar voice says behind you. You turn around and see Jack standing there with his hands in his pockets and smiling. "I come here when I just need to get away from this crazy place."
say something Olivia!
He walks ahead of you and takes a deep breath. He turned around to face you. "C'mon i'll give you a tour." He starts walking and you follow. "So this is where all the textbooks are if you need to check any out..." You couldn't stop staring at him and feeling nervous. Every time he would lOok at you and tell you what something was or what kind of books were there you would just nod. "Well this is the end."
"Thank you for showing me where everything is. This place is amazing!" You tell him. He just gives you a friendly smile and runs his fingers through his hair. "I can walk you to your next class if you want." He offers.
"Actually I'm just going to try to find it myself but thanks anyway." You tell him. You want to avoid as much embarrassment as possible. "Okay well I'll see later then." He looks a little disappointed and now you wish you would have said yes. You both walk out of the library and turn right. As you walk behind him you realize that you're going the same way. He turns around to see you and stops. "Are you following me?" He smirks.
"No I'm just... I'm just-"
"Come walk with me." Your blush instantly.
" I wasn't following you." You mutter.
"Sure..." He says and smiles at you. You smile big.
"I really wasn't! We're probably just going to the same class or something."
"Okay, what class are you going to?"
"Room 310." You're both standing by the lockers and he walks toward you, forcing you to put your back to them. He puts his arms next to you so you can't go anywhere. You stare at his biceps. You start To heat up and think for the second time today, that he's going to kiss you.
"I guess your right. We are going to the same class." He looks down at your lips and starts to lean in slightly. "Let's go." He pulls away from you and starts walking away.
What a tease. You think to yourself.
"It's going to be really hard to focus in this class." He says.
"Why?" You ask him with a look of confusion. He turns to you and smirks again.
"Because you're in it."
