Chapter 20

You were almost at your house when you turned the corner and saw Jack sitting on your front steps.

"Jack?" He looked up at you and quickly stood up.

"Oh, hey!" he bent over to hug you but you kept your arms limp by your side.

"Why are you here?" You spoke into his chest while pulling away.

"I missed you. Can i come in?"

"No, actually. The last time we talked, you called me stupid and you couldn't even take five minutes out of your day to talk to me."

"I'm really sorry about that. I guess it was just really hard for me to believe that anyone could have that close of a relationship with their parents and i just didn't really want anyone to know. ..."

"Jack what's going on with you?"

"Nothing." He looked down at the ground and shoved his hands in his pockets.

"Did you know that you look down every time you lie?" You turned around and walked up to your door. Right as you were about to open the door, Jack grabbed your arm and turned you around. He gripped both of your arms tightly and you felt your heart beating faster and faster.

" I cant lose you." His lips crashed into yours, sending shivers through your body. He let go of your arms and pulled you into another hug. This time you hugged him back.

"Kelly and I hooked up." You quickly pushed him back and just stood there feeling everything from confused to angry.

"Is this a joke?"

"No but we're fine again right?"

"No we're not fine! Jack, you just told me that you cheated on me!"

"We weren't dating so it wasn't really cheating." you looked down at your hands and saw them shaking through tear-filled eyes.

"Fuck you." you said quietly.

"What?"

"I said, fuck you!" you yelled at him. You turned around and unlocked your door, letting your tears fall freely. You stood with your back against the door and cried. You thought that sex would only bring you two closer, but instead, it tore you apart.
