19. A Confession

Chapter 19

"Ever since I first saw you guys together, I knew you were perfect for each other. Don't worry, I'm sure Jack is just going through something and for whatever reason, doesn't wanna tell you. Or can't."

"Thanks for being such a good listener tonight Leo."

"It's really no problem. It's nice that we finally get to hang out with each other without everyone else."

"Yeah." You smiled at him and he pulled you into a hug.

"Its all going to be fine." Just as you two pulled away, the doorbell rang. Leo stood up and started walking to the door. "I'll get it mom!" He unlocked the door and pulled it open. "Kelly?"

"Hey. Can I come in?"

"Yeah of course! Sorry. Uh... What are you doing here?"

"I need to talk to you about something..." She said as she walked into the living room. She stopped when she saw you and looked a little shocked.

"Hey!" You got up and walked over to her. You hugged her awkwardly and Leo shifted his weight from foot to foot. You looked over at him sensing the awkwardness between the three of you. "I just asked Leo if we could hang out... Sorry if it's ya know..."

"No! No it's fine it's just, I kindov need to talk to Leo about something... In private."

"Oh yeah of course. I'll just go. Good to see you, uh... feeling better..." You said while walking towards The door. "Bye!"

You said calling back to Leo.

"Wait, Olivia I need to drive you home..."

"No it's cool I can just walk. It's not that far."

"You sure?"

"Yeah. Thanks for picking me up earlier."

"Of course. I'm always here for you." Kelly glared at Leo.

"Thanks. I'll see you at school."

"Bye."

"Bye."

You stepped outside and felt a cool breeze and saw Kelly's car parked in front. You started walking down the street towards your house. It would be at least a 15 minute walk. You couldn't help but feel a little shaken up because of Kelly's strange actions. Why did she pretend to be sick? Why'd she show up at Leo's house without letting him know? Sure they were dating but, something didn't seem right...

You could feel the tension from the moment she showed up.
