Chapter 24
You walked up the metal stairs to the last row of seats. The last thing you want is to see Kelly or Jack. Especially both of them, together. The last time you saw Jack was when he told you he would never leave you again. That was two months ago. Since then you've heard rumors about Kelly and Jack dating or hooking up and honestly, it couldn't have hurt any more than it did. You couldn't stand the way people looked at you in the halls, and how much everyone pitied you. It was like everyone thought you were this poor girl whose boyfriend cheated on with her best friend. They weren't wrong, just disingenuous. You had been growing closer to Leo but you both realized there was no chemistry between you two. Besides, you were too depressed to have a boyfriend. At least, thats what everyone else has been saying. This is the first football game you've gone to without Jack. You've never felt more alone than right now, sitting by yourself a this football game. You took out your phone to text Audrey. She said she was running late and would hopefully get there by halftime. Great. You searched the stands looking for someone you could tolerate when you saw a familiar girl with long blonde hair. It was Kelly. The las person you wanted to see here besides Jack. She was sitting about six rows ahead of you to your right so you got up from your seat and made your way down to the restrooms. You walked into a small two stall restroom. You stood in front of the sink with your hands on either side of it and felt your eyes starting to water. You walked over to one of the stalls and sat there on the toilet crying. Pulling out tissues from your purse, you heard someone entering the bathroom.
"Olivia?" someone yelled out. At first you thought it could be Audrey but the voice was low and rough, like a man's. You pulled your legs up, on to the toilet seat and tried not to breathe.
"Look, I saw you come in here and i really need to talk to you." Oh no. It can't be. Your heart started beating faster as you saw him walking closer and closer to your stall. It cant be h-
"It's me, Jack." you slowly stood up knowing he wasn't going to leave without talking to you. You reached up and unlocked the door. Walking out you saw yourself in the mirror and cringed. Of course, mascara smudged beneath your eyes.
"What are you doing here?" You asked him. He looked at you for what felt like the longest minute in your life. He smirked and said, " Well there was a line for the men's and there was no line here so I just went for it."
"Fuck you, Jack." You pushed past him and reached for the door handle. He grabbed your arms and pulled you into his chest. You tried to push him away from you but his arms just tightened around you. You felt so small compared to him and you used to feel so safe whenever he hugged you. Now you don't feel anything. He finally slowly loosened his grip and you took a step back.
"What the hell is wrong with you?" you asked him.
"I'm sorry. I just couldn't... Listen, I never got to really apologize to you about what i did."
"Well i really don't want to hear it so whatever apology you had someone write for you, you can just-" He took a step closer to you and cupped his hands around your cheeks kissing you hard. He gently pushed you back against the wall and took your hands to pin them up on either side of you. He pulled away and looked straight into your eyes smirking the same way he always did. You looked at him surprised.
"You don't know how long i've been waiting to do that." He kissed you again this time more passionately than before. He lifted you up ad carried you to the counter by the sink. you wrapped your legs around him as you let out a soft moan. He pulled away and smirked again.
"It looks like you've been waiting too." Your cheeks suddenly flushed and he leaned back in to kiss you. "You're so cute when you're mad." he brushed his lips against your neck causing you to shiver. He laughed and started kissing your neck. You let out another small moan and he lifted you up, off the counter and back onto the ground.
"Now lets go watch the game." He said, walking to the door.
You looked down at the ground and smiled. What a tease.
