don't you think they're perfect,
shimmering red with scarlet hues?
don't you think they're upset,
as a facade of covering up their blues?

don't you think they're special,
found only one in a million?
don't you think they're lethal,
hiding their identities like a chameleon?

don't you ever see raindrops on roses,
speeding up what seems to be the end?
don't you ever see that when a door closes,
that another doesn't open by command?

don't you think humans are like roses,
so alluring yet so vicious?
don't you think that one day we will die,
that death is near and conspicuous?
