» acceptance

god created humans to be different,

yet we were taught to fit in,

because going against the current,

would only mix up our bearings.

if we were made to love,

why were we so quick to kill?

our feelings flew like a dove,

our emotions nothing but a written bill.

we were so programmed to follow,

everything society has in mind for us.

since when did our minds become so shallow,

to be blinded by the light and blacken by the darkness?

we were taught love is between a man and a woman,

heterosexual was the right way.

but have we forgotten the other humans,

who choose to be gay?

now, I'm not saying that's right,

nor am I saying that's wrong.

I just think that we should go about this without a fight,

and have empathy for those forlorn.

sexuality shouldn't be the defining matter,

we have other worries to consider.

relationships shouldn't falter,

just because of the choice of partner.
