Glory's POV

5 years ago, late December 2014

I was in my English class, waiting for school to be over. I checked my phone for the time. 11:59 am, it read. I decided to draw myself in anime form since that's all I do whenever I'm drawing. As I was working on my drawing, Joey Marcello me a note. I took it and passed it to Christina Miller. By 12:10, the bell rang and I ran to my locker and put my textbooks inside and shut it, walking to the exit. Once I got there, I walked to get a burger, since I love In N Out so much. My phone buzzed and I quickly got it out of my pocket in my Puma sweater.

Seth: You know what they say about long days? ☹️

Me: That they are stressful and long. You told me that. 😉

Seth: That's right. I won't be back home until 9. 😞

Me: That's fine with me. Whatcha doing anyways? 😃

Seth: Working. 😴

Me: I'm serious, dude. 😂

Seth: So am I! 😂

Me: I love you so much. 😘

Seth: Love you too, babe. 😙

As I was walking around Los Angeles, a few people looked at me, unsure what to say. I shrugged and walked away, avoiding any contact since I don't want to start any trouble, along with drama. Later that evening, I made it home, got my MacBook out of my messenger bag and began typing my paper for Physics. Few minutes later, I decided to order pizza because I wasn't sure what to cook at this time. The door started knocking and I ran to open it.

"Is this the right address?" The pizza guy asked.

"Yep, here's your money." I smiled, handing him the cash.

"Thanks. Have a great day." He waved, which I did as well. Once I closed the door, I opened the box, making sure it has everything for Seth and I. Thank god. I said to myself, now that it's 8:56.

Seth's POV

Are you fucking kidding me! Out of all days, really? I thought to myself, angrily trying to get my Tesla to start but it wasn't working. I checked my phone to see if all the mechanics were open in the Los Angeles area. Turns out they were closed and I'm not even kidding. "Fucking bullshit!" I shouted, hoping someone heard me.

"You alright there, Seth?" Alex asked.

"My car isn't working and all the mechanics are closed, so I'm unable to do anything about it." I sighed, trying not to get more angry than I already am.

"Are you sure?" She said, as she was getting something from the back of her car.

"Positive. Hell, it's only 9:30 and I just want to leave already." I checked the time on my phone.

"Since when have you decided to do that?" She laughed, finding this funny.

"Since always! God, couldn't this day get worse!" I rolled my eyes.

"Who's this Glory person, then?" She snatched the phone from my hands.

"A friend." I fake smiled, trying not to blush. If anyone finds out that me and Glory are together, I'm probably going to hide under my basement until someone finds me.

"And if this 'friend' is texting you constantly, she probably is your girlfriend." She handed it back to me.

"Wait, what?" I looked at the texts and noticed that they appeared about an hour ago.

"Seth, it's okay. You don't have to lie about this kind of thing. I mean it's not like she's not a threat."

"She's my best friend."

"And you kept this secret for a long time?"

"She's shy towards others and I'm not sure if I could talk about her to you or the cast, or anyone in general."

"How old is she?"

I gulped, since I wasn't sure how to explain that part out since I don't want my reputation to be known as that guy who's dating a younger woman by 27 years. Hell, to begin with since I'm not sure about exposing Glory and I's relationship status. "24." I said very quickly.

"That's not too bad but you could be her father." She giggled.

"Damn it, why is there always a catch!" I laughed as well, finding it funny.

"Depends, will she come over to meet us?" She waited patiently.

"She's busy with this audition for the role of Annie." I tried not to say that Glory's in high school but ended up failing at my choice of words.

"That's hilarious, it should be a cutaway where Stewie tries out for Annie but fails at it." Alex cracked up that I almost heard my heart thumping. The Knight Rider theme began playing from my phone and I picked up, walking to another side of the parking lot.

"Seth Woodbury MacFarlane, do you know what time it is?" Glory called, shouting at me.

"Glory, I'm so sorry. My Tesla isn't working and all the mechanics are closed and–" I explained to her but she cut me off.

"Babe, I'm so sorry. I'll call someone in the Santa Monica area to take your car." She calmed down.

"Really? I love you so much, princess." I smiled, hoping Alex didn't hear that.

"I love you, my Prince Charming." She did a kissing noise, which I chuckled at, ending the call.

"You did not just hear that." I smirked, hoping I wasn't being recorded or something.

"Oh I did and now it's going to be on Twitter. @SethMacFarlane and his 'friend' declaring their love for each other." Alex shot back, typing and posting the video.

"Nice." I stuck my tongue out, childishly that Mila looked at me, raising an eyebrow.

"I'm probably going to head out before Ashton asks me why I'm late as well." She tried not to laugh, making the situation awkward.

"What a coincidence that our partners are getting fed up with us not back for curfew! Mila, you're amazing!" I said sarcastically, hugging her tightly.

"Um...okay?" She fixed her hair and took off, walking.

A/N: awkwardness equals weirdness. Anyhow, I'm so sorry if this chapter took forever to publish. I'm trying to write as much I can for this book but it's so hard because I'm not sure what to do next. Also, give me what you thought of this chapter and don't forget to follow me as well! Thanks!
