Silent Beauty
Dark as an alley
Shining stars
On a clear, cloudless sky
But not this time
This time
Patches of night sky
Through thick and thin clouds
With the silent orchestra
Of a summer night drizzle
Drip, drip, drip, drip, drip
Continuously through the night
Sudden flashes of light
That silence the moment
That makes the heart
Skip a beat
No thunder, though
On this night
On this silent night
On this beautiful night
That stuns my heart
That quiets everyone...
In a flash of lightning
Open a window
Close your eyes
Listen
Open your eyes
Enjoy the gift
Of being able to appreciate
A night like this
Smile
Let your heart scream
