Thank you hopelesswhite for the cover, it means a lot. I hope you all enjoy the chapter. This is the last week of school, so I'll be able to update more often this summer.
Ch.2
He pulled away from the kiss, pressing his forehead against mine. “I've missed you.” he said, slipping the ring back onto my finger.
“I've missed you too.” I said back, lightly tracing his face with the tips of my fingers. “You have no idea how hard this all was.” I told him, starting to feel dizzy.
“It's OK, love. You're not going to be on your own now.” he said, realizing I was starting to sway slightly. He picked me up bridal style, holding me close to him and disapparated to my house. “I need you to unlock the door.” he whispered in my ear.
“Open.” I hissed, watching as the door swung inward and George took me up to my room.
“Do you need to change?” he asked me.
“Sure.” I mumbled, trying to stand up but stumbling slightly. I went and grabbed a tank top and pajama shorts. Once I changed I walked back into the room and fell back onto my bed. George was already there and had taken off his shirt, giving me a pretty good view. He pulled me close to him, kissing my forehead.
“Everything's going to be OK.” he whispered in my ear as I drifted off to sleep. It was the first night of peace I'd had since he'd left.
When I woke up in the morning, George was still asleep. It took me a little while to get George's arms off of me. By the time I finally got out of his arms it was about 9 in the morning. I went and dressed in a cream lace top, tucked into light brown shorts with a thin brown belt. I threw on a faux fur vest, high heeled, studded ankle boots and a watch necklace. Just as I finished, I felt arms slip around my waist.
“Why do you wake up so early?” he asked, his voice husky from just waking up.
“I've never been able to sleep in late.” I told him, turning around in his arms to peck him on the lips.
“Great, I fell in love with an early riser.” he complained playfully.
“Yes, but one who knows how to cook.” I gave him a quick smile before skipping downstairs. I began cooking a pancake recipe that I usually made on special occasions, but I figured today was a better day than normally. Once I had plated the pancakes, I poured a raspberry sauce and powdered sugar over them.
It didn't take long for George to come down. He had on a pair of jeans and a t-shirt that he had left here when he had stayed over in the past. His hair was still damp from his shower.
“Looks good, love.” he said, taking a bite before giving me thumbs up. “Tastes good too.”
“Nice to know I passed the test.” I told him, digging into my own plate of food. “When do you have to go back to school?”
“Later tonight.” he must have seen my face fall when he saw it. “But Dumbledore said I can visit more often now. Besides, I'm not going to leave you for that amount of time again.” he kissed my forehead and pulled me onto his lap since he was done. “We still have the rest of the day.”
“What do you want to do?” I asked him, turning around so my legs were around his waist. He crashed his lips onto mine, licking my bottom lip for entrance. I immediately opened, not having it in me to tease him at the moment. Our tongues fought for dominance, but he managed to win. As his tongue explored my mouth, the doorbell went off. This didn't stop either of us as my hands slipped under his shirt and traced his six pack. The doorbell continued ringing, more consistent now, causing him to sigh and pull away.
“We're continuing this later,” he mumbled in my ear, letting me get up and move toward the door. I could see out my window, it was Bellatrix.
“George, its Bellatrix. Do you want to be around when I open the door?” I asked, worried about what he would think about me being friends with someone like her.
“It's fine. It's not like she'll do anything to me since you're friends.” he told me. I nodded and opened the door, overwhelmed by the feeling I got as I did so. Being around someone who was so committed to the dark arts was causing the dark feelings to appear once more. George must have anticipated this, because as soon as I Bella was about to open her mouth, he was there. His arms were wrapped around my waist and his head on my shoulder. She gave a small smile when she looked at the two of us.
“You must be George.” she said with a smile that she only showed to me.
“Yeah, you must be Bellatrix.” he shook her hand, not moving away from me.
“You can't really get me confused with anyone else.” she told him with a smirk before turning back to me. “He helped you return to normal, didn't he?” she asked, looking me over.
“Yes, yes he did,” I told her with a shy smile.
“Well, it's nice to meet someone who'll stay by her side through everything. I should go and give you some privacy.” she then focused on me. “Just thought I'd tell you that some furniture got dropped off at the Malfoy Manor this morning. I'm guessing its yours.” she glanced at George once more before turning around and walking away.
“What's with the furniture?” he asked.
“We're going to be decorating your new apartment!” I said. “Guess we already have plans for today.” I told him with a smile
“Well, let's get going.” he said, linking arms with me. I focused on the Malfoy Manor and before long we were outside. There were a few boxes and some large pieces of furniture that were going to be placed inside the apartment as well.
By the end of the day we had placed the furniture where I wanted it and everything was completely finished.
“Wow,” he said looking around. “You did great. Do I get to see the store?”
“No! That’s a surprise for later!” I told him, playfully hitting him on the shoulder.
“Oh, whatever.”
“You never did tell me what was going on at school.” His playfulness quickly disappeared.
“Umbridge is awful. She’s trying to take over the school and before long she’ll find a way to get Dumbledore kicked out. She’s just bloody evil. She has rules for everything, and if you break one you’re in trouble. She has even kicked Harry, Fred, and I off the Quidditch team. It’s torture being there, but Harry created Dumbledore’s Army so that we can meet up and practice spells since Umbridge won’t let us use magic.”
“That’s awful.” He grimaced and nodded.
“Pretty much, but we only have about five months left.” He said with a smile looking down at my lips.
“And then we have forever.” I kissed him one more time, knowing he was about to leave once again.
“Forever,” he agreed. “ If you need me for whatever reason, all you have to do is write me in that journal and I'll come.”
“Of course.” I gave him one last smile before he left through the floo network.
