"I brought you here, hoping you could either point me in the right direction, or I could use you for channeling."
"Why?" I mumbled, rolling over on Katherine's soft mattress.
"To get my animals back," she spoke sarcastically, as though I was stupid. "What else?" I grew slightly red in the face, embarrassed for what I truly thought would happen. "Ew," she started, rolling her eyes. "Get over yourself." I rolled over as she placed her hands on my back, closing her eyes, as though she would actually witness something.
"It's not working." She hit me, as though it was my fault. I couldn't sleep anyhow with her babbling, so I turned to face the ornery Katherine. "Maybe we need more of a connection..." She looked me up and down unwillingly. I glared up at her, expecting her to claim me as the fool after pretending to take a leap into a dangerous realm for Katherine. Romance.
"Obviously, this wasn't a booty call, so what else do you want?"
"I don't want sex, Coleman!" She slapped the back of my head. "I would never, and not just because it's you," she smirked at the insult. "You should be something called a 'Heightened human', according to what I wrote." She glanced at a stack of notebooks scattered in her open closet.
"So you think that you're a witch... and you want to channel my 'inner power'?"
"Yes. I've never done a spell that was a success. But did you see Satan in the field? It was incred-ib-le," she said, hitting me in between syllables. "Maybe you need more emotion..." She looked around the room, the possibilities unpredictable.
She looked back at me, licking her lips in preparation. She glanced down at my bare chest. Her blue eyes seemed to light up, as she leaned in closer towards me. My heart sped up, as well as my breath. She softly made lip contact, and suddenly, an electrical shock shot into my lip nerves. My eyes flashed open, as I jolted away. She quickly grasped my head, her eyes closed in concentration.
Three seconds later, she threw her hands down, her eyes slowly opening.
"You shocked me," I spoke miserably. I thought she was actually going to kiss me. What a disappointment. Anger flared slightly, but was mixed with the hurt and confusion. "You bitch."
"I had to," she said. Like I hadn't heard that for every situation she places us in. She started to laugh, burrowing her head into her blankets. "You actually thought I was going to kiss you?" She sputtered, laughing in between words. I felt much more hurt than she knew, but I wasn't about to ket her know.
"Psh. No," I scrambled for words, looking off angrily.
"Hey!" She almost yelled. "I forgot to check you over. Strip."
"Why?" I groaned, plopping backwards onto her pillow.
"Those drugs, we're destroying them all." I glared at her, standing up from her bed, only to strip completely nude, letting her check my body over, as well as my clothes.

I didn't say anything to Coleman about what I saw. In fact, when searching him, I stole a flip-switch dagger, and a handgun. I walked into Dixon's Club, shoving passed stinky, sweaty men. A lot of them had yellowish sweat prints on their light colored shirts, and each one of them gave me a rapist vibe.
Many of them threw me side comments like, "Hey, honey," and "What's a pretty little lady like you doing here?" I shoved past them, hard enough to piss them off on purpose.
I eventually landed near a back door with a padlock on the weird-looking door knob. I squeezed my eyes, trying to make the lock break. I reared my elbow back into a man's face after they roughly grabbed my ass. I swung around, seeing the one I saw in the vision.
