I kneeled down on the kitchen floor to check the chicken in the oven. I couldn’t tell whether it was done or not. This was such a stupid oven. I was so not used to all of this. This house was huge and the oven had way too many knobs and buttons for me to remember. I sighed and bit my bottom lip, pulling hair behind my ear simultaneously. Why was I getting so stressed out over this? It was just a house… just a house…

I’d been living here for a couple months too. I’d come to love it so much more than I had originally expected. Each room was unique in its own special way. The kitchen was at the back of the house and the living room was right next to it where Harry, Louis, Niall, Liam, and Zayn were watching soccer.

“NO!” I heard someone yell at the TV. It was either Niall or Louis because the two of them always got really into the soccer games on TV. I looked over the counter and into the living room to see my husband and his four best friends yelling at the TV. Harry looked over at me and flashed his brilliant smile. I tried to return it, but it came off as probably a weird looking face. I spun around on my heels and looked around the kitchen.

I heard heavy footsteps nearing me and I brushed my hair out of my face with both my hands. A pair of arms wrapped around my waist and Harry’s lips pressed against my neck.

“What’s wrong love?” he mumbled into the collar of my t-shirt.

I shrugged and turned around in his arms. “Just tired I guess…”

He nodded and pressed his lips against mine. Someone walked into the kitchen to grab something out of the fridge. I pulled away and turned my head to find Liam standing at the stove with a beer in his hand. Harry kissed my temple and moved down to my cheek and neck.

“Louis wanted another one,” he explained when he saw me looking at him. He started to walk back out, “Sorry to interrupt… did you need help with dinner?”

I shook my head. “That’s okay,” I said trying to step out of Harry’s grasp, “How’s the game?” I turned my head and Harry only moved to the other side of my neck. You’d think he’d stop when his friend was in the kitchen also. My husband was not like other guys.

“England is down by one,” Liam said shaking his head.

            “Oooh… who are they against?”

            “Brazil,” he replied.

            “Oh aren’t they really good?”

“They’re pretty good…” he said, his voice trailing off. It was obvious that they were better than England. I bit my lip and Harry moved up to kiss me again. Liam walked out of the kitchen and back to where the guys were staring intently at the screen.

“Keep it, keep it, keep it!” I heard Niall exclaim.

“What time do you guys want to eat?” I called into the living room.

None of them answered. I looked at my husband, “When the girls come.”

I nodded. The rest of the girls, Danielle, Madeline, and Camille all had work, so they were coming late.
