hey everyone!! sorry for the late upload... i've been lazy and haven't written anything... so this is (probably) a long chapter! and i literally just finished typing it... so i hope you all enjoy!!! comment if you wanna :) okay BYE!!!!

After a long afternoon of continuous driving, Kayla and I finally made it back to my apartment. I took Kayla’s bag from the trunk and she followed me inside my apartment building. It suddenly seemed a lot more inviting than it normally did. The air felt nicer than my car.

“Hello Niall,” my doorman Geoff said to me.

“Hey how are ya?” I asked.

“I’m doing well, who’s this?” he asked gesturing to Kayla who looked like she was going to fall asleep at any given second.

“This is my girlfriend Kayla,” I explained, “We just got home from Maine.”

“Maine, what were you doing there?”

“It’s a long story, but Kayla looks a bit sleepy, so we’re going to go upstairs, good night,” I said. Geoff nodded goodbye and I took Kayla to the elevator. It was only the two of us, so I was able to wrap my arm around her shoulders and tuck her head under my chin.

               “Thank you Niall,” she whispered.

               “For what?” I whispered back.

“For finding me. I didn’t think anyone would…”

I was quiet for a little bit, thinking of what to say. The elevator dinged as it reached my floor and the double doors opened. We stepped out and walked down the narrow hallway to my apartment. I opened the door and held it open for Kayla who took a step inside.

“So um… you can go get changed,” I mumbled handing Kayla her duffle bag. She nodded and walked into the bathroom. I took a step into the kitchen and looked around. Everything was the way I’d left it. I suddenly thought of Maya and how she said she was going to go back home to Harry. I wondered if she actually did.

I walked into the living room and sat down on the couch, grabbing the remote. I turned on the TV and flipped through the channels while I waited for Kayla to finish up in the bathroom. I heard the light click off and the door open. Kayla stepped out in a green tank top and a pair of light pajama pants that she rolled up. Her hair was put up into a messy bun. I smiled as she sat next to me.

I leaned in and gave her a peck on her lips. She weakly smiled as I pulled away and pushed a stray piece of blonde hair behind her ear. I turned the TV off and looked at Kayla, half smiling. She exhaled.

“I hope I’m not intruding or anything, because I don’t have to stay, I mean I can go find a hotel room if you don’t want me staying here, but,” Kayla stuttered shaking her head. I looked at her like she was crazy.

“What would make you think I don’t want my girlfriend staying with me?”

               “W-Well…” she started.

“Kayla,” I said turning her head to face mine, “I don’t want you staying someplace else.”

               She smiled, “Really?”

“Yes,” I replied. I stood up and put my hand out for her to take. She stood up next to me. I pulled her into a hug and held her there for a little while.
