Starlight Wonderland

Aphmau POV
Me and Melissa sat facing each other on the private plane to Starlight. My bags from the house and the mall sat near us. The Victoria's Secret bag was visible from the corner of my eye. I still can't believe the things Melissa bought for me! The thought of the skimpy bits of fabric made my face burn and my cheeks turn a bright red.
"What's wrong, Aphmau?"
I look up at Melissa's curious gaze and sigh. "I can't believe the kind of things you grabbed at Victoria's Secret!!"
"What's wrong with what I picked out for you?"
"It's just so.... revealing..."
"Well, yeah.. It's lingerie. It's not suppose to cover everything, silly!"
"But, what am I going to use it for?"
She leveled me with a look that said you know damn well what those are used for.
"But I haven't seen Aaron in a year! I highly doubt we'll be doing anything like that any time soon!" I said in a rushed voice. My blush deepening into a crimson colour.
Melissa looks at me with a sideways knowing glance before erupting into giggles.

At this point she turned her attention to her phone. As I take a glance towards it, it looks like she's playing a game of some sort. For which I am glad. That means no more embarrassment for me. I look out the window next to me and notice the land fall away into endless water. My thoughts drift to Aaron. I miss him so much. It's been a year since I last saw him.. Will he even still care about me now? I'm nothing special. Just a boring human. He could find someone much better, more mature then me.

I mentally shake myself. And as I refocus my gaze I realize I must have been deep in thought for a while as the world outside the plane is dark.
Melissa then returns from the bathroom. She looks over at me as she sat back down.
"You should get some sleep. We still have quite a while till we reach Starlight."
To which I nodded. I then grabbed a small bag I had with me and told her I needed to use the restroom. Once I'm inside with the door closed I reach in and grab a plastic bag with a single leaf inside it. The leaf was starting to wrinkle and die. So I put my hands over it and centre myself. My hands begin to glow white and the leaf returned to looking alive. As if it was still attached to a tree instead of on a counter in a bathroom. I sigh as I feel the familiar physical and mental fatigue that comes every time I use healing magic. I put the leaf back where I had it before and take my bag and head back to my seat. I look over at Melissa and notice she's already asleep. I sat down and fell asleep too, soon after.

I soon started to dream of my reunion with Aaron. It was sweet, and perfect. But soon it changed and twisted into the lodge. And everything I did to Aaron while under the forever potion flashed through my mind. The emotional pain was to much that I awoke with a scream and began sobbing uncontrollably. Melisa awoke with a start when I cried out.
"Aphmau?! Are you alright?!"
I mentally shook myself and nodded to her. After that nightmare I didn't trust my voice.
"Was that a nightmare about what happened at the lodge?"
I nodded again still not trusting my voice enough to speak. I looked at her and she had a look on her face that showed that this was not the first time she saw someone awake from a nightmare about the lodge.
She must have guessed what I was thinking about because she then explained her reaction.
"I was with Aaron a few times when he woke up from nightmares about that place."
I nodded my understanding and went and grabbed my wolf plush from my bag. I sat back down and began to hug it tightly. Melissa looked at me and smiled.
"Did Aaron give that wolf plush to you?"
"Yeah, it was a gift to remember him by when he went to Falcon Claw University, and I was still in Phoenix Drop highschool."
I smiled as I thought back to those days. It was a more simple time in our lives.

My gaze went back to the window. It was at this point I noticed that the sky was beginning to lighten. It was morning. So I must have slept longer then I thought. Thought due to the nightmare I felt more tired then I had before going to sleep. I let my mind wander back to the incoming reunion with the man I love with all my heart. Next thing I knew it was bright outside. I must have fallen asleep again. I look over at Melissa and we begin to talk about what we're gonna do once we get to Starlight.
