Starlight (Aarmau fanfic)

Zack

Zack's POV

My baby girl. I hadn't seen her in years. She was so grown up. I had hoped to be able to see her again under better circumstances.

She looks so much like Sylvanna. Watching them carry her back to the post had me notice something. She had ears and a tail. But she was born a human... How did she become a wolf?

Aaron must have turned her. The thought made me mad in a way. Out of the corner of my eye I saw Ein stalk towards her. Rage clear on his face as he raised a clenched hand in her direction. "Ein, keep your hands off her." He glared at me before stomping off. I heard him mutter something about her being his and how dare Aaron turn her without his say so.

Michael and Elizabeth were talking. I took this opportunity to walk towards my daughter.

She was Sylvanna's twin in every way when it came to her features. I didn't touch her, but simply observed her in her sleep. It was at that moment I noticed it. The way her hands were curled around her body, even in the unconscious state she was in, tried to protect her midsection. Could she be pregnant?

I focused my heightened hearing. And that's when I heard it. The flutter of a heart beat emanating from my daughter. My grandchild was growing inside her.

Despite what some may think, I do in fact love my daughter very much. And her being used in this way aggravated me deeply. I kept her out of Michael's experiments for a reason.

Aphmau had a piece of my heart from the moment she was born. The first clutch of her little hand on my index finger and I was done. The memories of her as a baby and a small child are memories I cherish deeply.

And even though I get why Sylvanna kept me away. I did miss getting to be a part of her life. To this day, I regret the actions of my past. I regret the monstrosity of a son I got. He doesn't realize that the woman he's obsessed with is his sister.

Part of me wondered if he would have behaved differently had he of known Aphmau is his half sister. Now it's too late though. With the forever potions put on him by Elizabeth, his goals were singular.

The hilarious part to me, it really didn't change his personality. He was still the same self centred vindictive asshole he had been prior. Just now he won't stop going after Aaron and Aphmau till he has them separated.

Having spent enough time near my daughter to potentially draw attention to myself, I stepped away and walked towards my 'son'.

I didn't want my daughter to be part of this plan, and if I intended on getting her out, I needed to keep any attention off of my actions. Michael has eyes everywhere. One of the 'perks' of being a creature who's been around for a millennia.

Aaron POV

I needed to find Aphmau. I needed to get her away from Ein. I needed to get her home where we could be safe to plan for our little baby.

I was walking out of the cave when I felt a hand pull me around. Looking behind me I saw the determined face of Katelyn. She looked as if she was ready to commit murder, if I'm being completely honest here. Mind you though, Ein had just kidnapped her best friend. So I could understand her rage. Behind her was Travis, Lucinda, Kim, Garroth, Zane, Kawaii Chan, and Melissa. I was about to speak when Katelyn cut me off.

"You're not going anywhere without me. I have a score to settle with that punk as that's now two people who I care for deeply that he's messed with."

I tried to voice a rebuttal to her comment, but she refused. Our other friends looked as if they were ready to go against my wishes too. With a deep sigh, I shook my head, before turning around, and walking out of the cave. I don't think any of them would take no for an answer.

Though I was concerned that they may get hurt in this. I couldn't stay and fight them on this further. That freak had my fiancé, and even though they didn't know it yet, they had my baby too.

My group raced through Starlight, we didn't try hiding a lot as they knew where we were hidden, meaning it really didn't matter if we hid from them. As we came across foes, Katelyn, myself or Garroth would knock them out, leaving a trail of sleeping Guardians in our wake.

All I was focused on, was my woman, the sound of her heartbeat, slow and steady, and though I couldn't hear it at the moment, the sound of the tiny flutter of a heart beat, the growing life inside her, was playing in my mind as well.

If I had anything to say about it, not a single hair would be harmed on Aphmau's head. I wasn't going to let her be hurt.

Zack's POV
It had been a few hours since they had seized Aphmau, and brought her here. It was dark, and despite us hearing about Aaron's group trying to get to us, they just couldn't. No one here was concerned. Michael gave Terry control again, still not fully able to maintain his hold on this world. Terry, for his part, hated all this too. But I think it's due to worry more then anything else.

Like the Lycan family, the Valkrum family is also a cursed line. Though instead of being the start of modern day Lycanthropy, they are the holders of the soul of a powerful demon that calls himself a warlock. And I'm sure that all of Terry's problems revolve around the possibility of having to pass on the Demon's soul to his son.

As my thoughts wandered to these possibilities, I made my way back over to my daughter. Terry was asleep, so was Elizabeth, and as I walked up to my child, I see Ein passed out on his guard duty.

Quietly I stepped up to the chains, without thinking I unchained my daughter, making sure the rattling is kept to a minimum. Before I scooped her up, and began to quietly walk out. I knew what areas to avoid due to guard rotations. And within five minutes I had her outside. I found a small area that's well hidden, and I laid her down.

I gently stroked her face before I went back to both cover my tracks, and make sure no one could suspect me.

There were eyes on me though, as I would later find out...

Alright, new chapter! I randomly get ideas to input and that's usually when a new chapter is born now, so it seems. Hope you enjoy! I'm kinda liking the rout I'm taking with Zacks character tbh. What do you guys think?
