When I went to school the next day, I had a new idea on how to get the answers I needed. I tried talking to Luke again but he avoided me along with Garrett, Nathan, and Calum. Every time I would walk up to Calum and them, all three of them would make up a lame excuse to leave.

I walked into Calculus and sat down in my seat in the back right corner of the classroom. As the teacher started talking, I started to write down names.

1) Ashton Irwin

2) Nathan Grey

3) Luke

4) Garrett Moore

These were the names of the people who were possible help to uncover these stupid secrets at the damn school.

It's now been a week and I still haven't seen or heard from Luke. No chills, no voices whispering, nothing. The only person that will actually talk to me is Alaina and all she really talks about is her sex life with Travis.

As a seventeen year old girl who hasn't even had her first kiss yet, hearing about how "great" Travis is gets a little disgusting, but I have to deal with it in order to not die of complete boredom.

"Hey Riley, I'm really sorry but I have to cancel our plans at the library, Travis and I are having a date night." Alaina said while walking up to me in the hallway.

"Okay, have fun." I replied while closing my locker. Alaina hugged me goodbye before she turned around to face me again. "What happened between you and Calum?"

"What do you mean?"

"Well, on your first day you two were like super close but then whenever you see each other in the halls, he turns the other way." She explained.

"Oh, we just got into a little misunderstanding I guess," I replied.

"Anything I can do to help?" She asked.

I just shook my head and bid her goodbye before heading off to the library.

I sat down at a booth near the back of the small, empty building and placed my backpack beside me. Other than the two old women putting books away on the correct shelves, I was the only person there. I pulled out my schoolwork and started on my homework.

As I worked on my biology worksheet a gust of wind blew inside the library along with a bell chime, signaling someone had walked inside. I looked over and saw a boy with curly golden hair walk inside. He wore a black hoodie, skinny jeans, and of course, vans. He nodded his head towards the woman at the desk before making his way towards the woman stacking books near me. He handed her a piece of paper before she nodded and led him to a bookshelf stacked full with thick leather books with labels written in what it seemed as ancient Egyptian or Greek. He gave her a half smile before grabbing the biggest book on the shelf and sliding into the booth behind me.

I attempted to focus on my homework before my questions about Luke began to creep back into my mind. It took ten minutes of staring at my textbook before I stood up and walked over to the main desk.

"Excuse me ma'am?" I said trying to grab her attention.

"May I help you?" she asked looking up from her computer.

"I was wondering if you had any newspaper articles from February of last year?"

"Oh my, I don't believe we do but I will check in the back." She said just as the golden haired boy walked up to the desk with four books in his hands. "Just one moment dearie." she said to the boy as she walked to the back closet. It was now just me and him awkwardly standing there before I spoke up.

"Is that Egyptian writing?" I asked. The boy remained motionless as if I wasn't even there. I looked down at my shoes, embarrassed. I opened my mouth to say something else before the old woman ran out with one piece of newspaper in her hands. "I could only find this sweetie I'm sorry but all of our newspapers from last February are ripped and worn out." She said while handing me the piece of paper. I skimmed through the newspaper while the boy checked out his load of books.

"It's such a shame about that boy, Luke. He seemed like he had a good life. I don't know why he had to end it." I mumbled. The boy tensed up at the mention of Luke's name. The librarian gave him a sympathetic look before handing him back his books. As soon as he had a good grip on them he turned around and his gaze met mine for less then a second before he stormed out of the library.

"Don't take it personally dear, That's just a sensitive topic for the poor boy. He was best friends with that Hemmings kid. I can't imagine the hurt he must have felt when he found Luke. He hasn't spoken a word after that day." she said as I handed her the newspaper article.

"Wait, that's..." I began in a questioning tone.

"Yes ma'am. That was his best friend. They were more like brothers if you ask me." She laughed while handing the paper back to me.

"What's his name again?" I asked.

"Ashton Irwin."
