*knock knock*

I turn towards the door.

"Come in" I answer.

The door slowly opens, showing the same soldier, who escorted me to the feast yesterday. He looks at me strangely, after all, I am only wearing a T-shirt and nothing else. I think it isn't very common here, to see a woman like that. I just ignore his stare and ask him a question, pulling him out of his thoughts.

"Is there something you need to inform me about? Or why are you here?"

He looks at me embarrassed and replies.

"Yes...The Allfather requested to see you in the throne room." He pauses "But I see that you aren't representable yet, so I will give you time to get ready and wait in front of your room."

Then he immediately leaves the room, without giving me a second glance and the chance to respond.

Great, now I am going to meet Odin again and listen to his talk, how I am going to save his city and people. To be honest I am not really in the mood at the moment, since I found out about my mother. Perhaps I can take this opportunity and ask him about my father? Does he really live here in Asgard? I can decide later what to do with this information, I mean if I am even going to visit him.

I walk towards the wardrobe, finally not being distracted by anything and decide to wear a nice-looking long-sleeved black dress. From my neck to my waist it is decorated with golden embroideries that look like feathers. The rest of the dress, which reaches my ankles is in a kind of black tulle fabric. It is extremely elegant and suits my body perfectly.

I take one last look in the mirror, before opening the door

I take one last look in the mirror, before opening the door.

The soldier just nods and says.

"Follow me."

And that is exactly what I do.

After passing the corridor where I met Loki yesterday, a thought came to my mind. Was he the one who left the book on my desk? It would make sense because I asked him indirectly for information. But why would he care?

I put the thought in the back of my mind and focus on not losing the soldier, who is walking at a very fast pace. He stops in front of a very big door, which is even bigger than the one from the Great Hall.

I enter after the soldier and am completely speechless.

I am greeted with an endless and large corridor. At the end of it, I can see the incredible throne and Odin sitting on it. The whole space is covered in gold. It is an open space because you could see the whole city from this spot of the palace.

We walk along the golden corridor, my eyes not leaving Odin's figure, and then finally we reach a few stairs. After walking them up, I am greeted by no other than the king himself. I bow because that was the only thing that came to my mind.

"There is no need for that" I hear Odin say.

I get up and look back at him.

"I see that you got my message." he pauses and looks at me with a welcoming smile. "Anna, there are some things that we need to talk about." I nod and keep on listening. "Like I told you yesterday, you are here for a reason. You are here to protect and defend Asgard and I know that you aren't able to do that now, so I was wondering to give you some fighting lessons and that I myself help you to find your powers."

Fighting lessons?

"I have never held a weapon in my life. I don't know if this will be such a wise decision." I answer bluntly.

"There is always a first time." He replies. "I know it is barely your second day here and you still have a lot to take in, but you are a Goddess. You have the right to feel like one."

I stand there looking at him, thinking about what I am going to say next. Then I finally talk.

"If your city is really in danger and I am really able to help your people, I am going to do everything I can."

I don't really know where all of this comes from, but I was always like that. Every time someone needed my help I accepted, why can't I do the same here? I know it's something completely different, but their lives depend on me! How can I leave these people to die, after relieving that exact moment every day?

"Thank you, but they are also your people Ingrid An Hilde. In time, you will realize it." He stands up. "We will start to train your powers tomorrow after breakfast, here in the throne room. I hope you will be there."

Before he has the chance to turn his back on me I ask the question that I have been longing for to ask.

"Is there any possibility to talk to my father? He lives here, doesn't he?"

Odin replies immediately.

"You will find him at the Observatory at any time. You just need to cross the rainbow bridge"

He turns his back and walks through a door in the back of the room, followed by three of his guards.

The Observatory...so now I only need to find out where that is. Do I even want to? Do I even want to meet a man, who left me as a child? Left me in an orphanage and let me grow up without any kind of guide. How can I forgive someone for something like this?

I turn around ignoring the soldier, who brought me here and run out of the throne room, just wanting to be left alone.

I find myself on a balcony, watching the beautiful city in front of me and thinking about what I am going to do next.

Am I going to visit my father or should I just leave him alone? Does he even want to see me? Of course, I would like to know why he gave me up, and there were still those words from Frigga repeating themselves in my head.

"He never left you. He was always and still is looking out for you."

Those words make me so curious about him, about our story. How is it possible that he never left me. He did, I was so sure about that all those years and now I am doubting it. So, my curiosity gets the best of me and I decide to visit my father tomorrow after the training with Odin.

"There you are, Lady Anna. I was looking all over the palace for you" I hear the soldier's voice say.

"You again," I say out loud, not really caring about him hearing it.

"I thought you would be hungry...Breakfast is still being served in the Great Hall." He replies ignoring my rudeness.

"That doesn't sound like a bad idea. I think that was the best thing, that you could have said to me, at this very moment."

He smiles and points towards the direction for me to walk to.

"You don't need to accompany me. I know where to go." I say, leaving him standing speechless on the balcony.
