"We will all reassemble outside in the palace gardens, to enjoy tonight's spectacle," Odin says, interrupting me sipping the delicious wine.

A spectacle? Wow, this evening is filling me with surprises. I see many of the guests slowly stand up and walk into the direction of the door. The royal family stays seated, possibly because they are the last leaving, with the rest of the guards. I take this as my cue to follow the other people outside since I have no idea where the gardens are.

"I heard this is going to be the best spectacle yet." I hear a man in the mass of people say and it makes me just more curious about what is about to come.

I breathe in the fresh air, realizing that this is my first time being outside of the palace. I have been locked up in the castle, since the day I was brought here and now being out here, I see how beautiful the gardens in Asgard really are. I know it's dark and I can't see everything, but even so, it is breathtaking. The colorful flowers spreading over the floor and the shining stars in the sky are the perfect combination. It feels like I am in a tale that I always read as a kid and for the first time, I felt happy. Happy to be here, happy to belong somewhere and happy to finally start a new part of my life. Perhaps the part I always dreamt about, the part I always wanted to have.

Suddenly I feel someone gently grab my wrist. At first, I panic, not really knowing who is touching me, but then I feel the breath of the person on my neck and his voice ringing in my ear. The voice that I have longed to hear. The voice that always sends chills down my spine and makes my blood rise. This mixture of mysteriousness and charisma, finally makes me relax with his touch. The warmth of his body touching mine and filling me with it. This moment is something that I have never experienced in my whole life.

"Follow me." He softly whispers in my ear.

He doesn't wait for a reply, just tightens the grip on my wrist and slowly guides me in a completely different direction and away from the whole crowd. Where is he taking me?

"Where are we going?" I ask still upset about the fact that this man always is so mysterious. But he doesn't reply and keeps the silence between us, even after walking through several corridors and mastering a thousand stairs. He walks through the castle with such an ease, as if he has the whole map saved in his memory and perhaps it is exactly like that. I mean he must have been growing up in here and being here for so long, I think makes you know every single corner of Asgard.

I, on the other hand, was never in the same place. Always transported from orphanage to orphanage. There was no family who wanted or even tried to adopt me, so most of the orphanages hadn't enough money to keep me and sent me away to the next one. To be honest I never really understood why. I had never caused any problems, I was the silent child sitting in the corner and reading a book. But somehow, I never had even a slight chance for a start with a new family.

After we walk an eternity to wherever we are going, Loki finally stops in front of a small wooden door. He takes his hand from my wrist and suddenly green light erupts from it and a small golden key magically appears in his hand. How is he able to do something like this? Is this his power as a god? Making things appear? Things that are miles away from him, or even in another realm?

He places the key into the lock and swiftly opens the door. He gestures me to walk in first and that is what I do. I scan my surroundings, not really being able to see much because there is only coming in a dim light from the small space between the curtains of the only window in the room. Still, after readjusting my eyes I could see a lot of paintings and old, dusty books laying on the floor of the small room. In the corner, I see a collection of different bottles of wine and to my surprise they are all from Earth, at least I know some of them. I take a closer look at the books and realize that most of the things here are originally from earth.

I grab one of the books 'The Great Gatsby', which is one of my favorites. It was also one of the reasons, why I wanted to become a writer. F. Scott Fitzgerald gave me a lot of inspirations during my time writing my own book. He was and still is one of my heroes of English literature.

I hear Loki walking towards the window and open the curtains, but I don't give it any attention because I am still inspecting the cover of the book.

"Come here." I hear him say.

I look up at him, seeing him staring through the window. I place the book back to its original spot and walk to the window, next to Loki.

First I look at him, but he isn't even noticing me one bit, so I do the same as him and look out the window.

Unbelievable. We are so high up, to be honest, we could be on the highest tower of Asgard, right now. From here you can see the whole city shining in its glory. I could see the people gathering around, even if I can only make them out as little dots on the ground. They are waiting for the spectacle to start, but neither of them is enjoying such a beautiful view as I am right now. Why did he bring me here?

"Loki, what..." I try to ask, but don't get a chance to finish my question.

I hear a loud sound and a shining lightbulb erupt from the ground and into the sky. A firework, and it is not above us, it is right in front of us. It is possible to make out all the different colors forming one beautiful golden color and it is...Let's just say there are no words to describe what I am seeing right now. I am speechless not really knowing what I am about to say. My words are stuck, my only reaction is a big smile forming on my lips.

"It's my secret spot. I have been coming up to this tower since I was a child. I always found the spectacle much better from up here." I hear Loki say.

"So, why tell me?" I ask surprised and wonder why he would share such an important place with me.

"I don't know." He replies in a whisper, not daring to look in my direction.

I stand there in awe watching the spectacle, not even realizing that Loki walks away from the window. He comes back holding a wine bottle and two glasses in his hands.

"Here." He says gesturing to one of the glasses. I look at him and take it, so it is possible for him to fill them.

"Thank you" I mutter and he just returns a small smile.

We clink our now full glasses and then Loki comments.

"To your arrival in Asgard!"

"And a new start," I add.

We both take a sip while staring into each other's eyes. Me once again being lost in his. We stand there in silence, enjoying the sound of the firework and the distant cheering of the people. There is just a difference to before, now my eyes are averted to something different than the spectacle and for me, he is even more magnificent.

"Tell me something about yourself." He interrupts my thoughts.

"What do you want to know?" I ask, not knowing what to tell him about myself. I mean my life was so boring back in London.

"Everything." He answers.
