"Not really polite to call your brother an idiot." I appear in front of Loki, leaving the book on the bench.
"Sneaking around the palace, are we?" he replies.
Shit now he got me, why didn't I just stayed where I was and kept my mouth shut? I stand my ground and answer.
"You were the one disturbing me. I was here first."
Silence fell between us both. Then he takes a step closer towards me not daring to avert his eyes from mine.
"You dare to talk to me, Prince of Asgard, in that tone." He says in a dark whisper, still, I can sense that he is just pretending and not taking it very seriously.
What is it with this man and closeness? He is standing right in front of me, his right hand touching the wall behind me. And there it is again, the feeling that I always get when I am near him. To be honest I don't really know if it is a positive or a negative emotion forming in my gut.
"I am sorry your highness. The next time I am going to think before I start to talk." I play along and start to smirk while saying it.
He looks at me intensely but returns a small smile. We both stand there once again, looking and grinning at each other and enjoying the company. At least I enjoy talking to him. It is different to speak to him, it feels like I can say anything to him and he would always have an answer. For me, he is a mystery that I want to solve and I am not going to stop until I archive it.
"I heard that you are going to get fighting lessons?" he now asks interrupting the moment between us, but not moving from his position.
"You are right, I am going to start tomorrow," I say to him.
"Good you will definitely need them in the fights to come." He steps away from me, not daring to avert his deep green eyes from mine. "Now excuse me, there are a few things that I need to do before the feast." He adds.
I just smile and nod in his direction, but not letting him go before saying.
"Thank you for the book by the way. It really helped."
"What book, my queen?" He replies, mentioning Thor's suggestion from earlier, a smirk lingering on his lips.
"He wishes," I mutter, but still so he could hear it.
The last thing that I can hear is Loki chuckle and then walking away, disappearing into the shadows of the palace.

I decide to wear the same golden and black dress for dinner, not really being in the mood to change. The only thing, that I do to top off the look a bit, is braiding a few small parts of my hair and securing them with a golden string, leaving the rest of my hair untouched. At least I look a little different now. I just hope no one will mind, that I am wearing the same dress.
