Chapter Two- Meeting the Cast

It had been two weeks since we heard from anyone. I slowly stopped thinking about the audition. I never told anyone that I did audition. My own father didn't even know.

I was sitting in my room when all of the sudden my mom practically broke my door down. She was wide eyed with the phone it her hand. She slowly just gave me the phone in silence.

I looked at the phone and then quickly grabbed it, trying not to keep the person on the other side of the call waiting.

"H-hello?" I said still confused of the situation.

"Hello! Carley?" The person said at the other end.

"That's the name... what's up?" I said trying to play it cool, but the voice started to sound very familiar and I started to think of the audition.

"Yes, so after two weeks of discussing, me and my other companions have decided that you are the best choice to play the character Charlotte." The voice said with joy.

My mouth dropped and I replayed his words in my head. Then, I pinched myself to make sure I wasn't dreaming.

"Are you sure you have the right Carley? I'm Carley NICHOLSON. Maybe you have the wrong Carley?" I said almost not believing his words.

"Now I can remember a country accent like that." He said.

"I'm sure there are a lot of Carley's in the world with country accents!" I said frantically.

"Do you want the part or not?" Said a voice, but a different person than before.

"I do! I want it!" I said almost yelling in the phone.

"Great! Head down to the studio ASAP to meet the cast." The first voice said.

"Today, asap?" I said confused.

"Right now, asap." The voice said.

On the car ride back to Atlanta I had some time to think. I'd have to go to the set everyday. Would we drive a hour everyday back and forth? I wouldn't still be in school when it was time to film. I could have a new start. Leave my old friends in the past. Start fresh. Live a new life. I won't let my old friends take advantage of me once they find out my new fame. Most of them don't even deserve to know me.

We arrived. I was nervous. Extremely nervous. I was overly obsessed with this show. For crying out loud, I had a MAJOR crush on one of the members of the cast. I don't know how I would function.

Carley, you are a actor now. Use those abilities, like you psychic ones, and act cool.

"I can do this." I whispered to myself.
