A cold pair of hands made their way onto my waist from behind, causing me to jump out of my skin. I snapped my head around to see a cheeky smile on Jacks face. I playfully hit his arm, scolding him for his actions.

"Shit, Jack. You scared the life out of me!" I exclaimed, causing him to laugh even harder. He finally composed himself and shoved his hands into the pockets of his denim shorts.

"Going to the beach?" He asked.

"Yep, but thanks to you, my friends are already there." He smirked and chuckled. "What?"

"That Cameron guy hates me, doesn't he?" He sighed.

"Well, he doesn't hate you. He doesn't like you. But I don't think he hates you."

He nodded and snaked his arm around my waist. I felt my cheeks grow hotter, his hands sent shivers down my spine. We arrived at the beach where all my friends were. I sat with Taylor, Ella, Olivia and Diamond. Jack slid in next to G and J, Cameron, Noah and Shawn, chuckling awkwardly. The guys greeted him, apart from Cameron, who glared at him. I felt bad for Jack, he just wanted to make friends with them.

"Hello girls." I greeted, sipping Liv's coke. She laughed and took it back.

"If you want some, go and get some." She mocked.

"I'll come with you, just give me a sec." Taylor said, finishing her lemonade. We got up and went to the bar. Once the man in front left, we made eye contact with the cute bar tender.

"Hi, two cokes please." I asked, smiling.

"Of course, so where are you from?" He replied, filling the cups with Coke.

"All over America. Bella's from Orlando, I'm from Alaska." Taylor explained.

"And I'm from Chicago, one lemonade please." Ella laughed, handing him the cup. He handed us the filled cup.

"Thanks." We all replied in unison.

As we sat back with everyone, Jack smirked at me.

"Tell that bartender to back off." He laughed.

"What?"

"He was checking you out, and that's my job." He winked, wrapping his arm around my shoulder. I sighed and rolled my eyes.

"Calm down, we haven't even made out yet." I chuckled.

"We can changed that."
