Thorin Oakenshield P.O.V

Beorn's dark and alabaster ponies gave us aid -to gallop to the forest Mirkwood, in such haste. We had to get there by Durin's Day and this forest was cursed. But it's a risk I'm willing to take. Arriving at the foot of the forest, the darkness lurks throughout it and the shadows crawl and scratch at the twisted trees. The wizard dismounts his black horse, as do I, moments after the wizard.

Cas had a beautiful stallion. She rode it with elegance. And the bounty hunter was gone.

Gone forever.

"The Elven Gate," Gandalf says. He turns to face the company and calls to us, "Here lies our path to Mirkwood."

"No sign of the Orcs. We have luck on our side," Dwalin mentions. There no such thing as luck. If luck was on our side, then Casadon was had left the company. She was one of the best warrior's.

"Set the ponies loose. Let them return to their master," The grey wizard commands, from sight-seeing the distance.

We begin to take our supplies from the ponies, after dismounting them. Yet, the hobbit is eager to approach the forest.

"This forest feels...sick, as if a disease lies upon it. Is there no way around?" Bilbo asks the wizard.

"Not unless we go two hundred miles north, or twice the distance south," Gandalf explains.

The unladen ponies trot away, back to their master. Nori begins to unsaddle Gandalf's mighty horse. when the wizard shouts from afar: "Not my horse! I need it."

Nori pauses. The old man strides to the horse as the company begins to murmur.

"You're not leaving us?" Bilbo asks the wizard, concerned.

"I would not do this unless I had to," The wizard explains to Bilbo.

Me and Gandalf exchange a glance and after the creatures have conveyed; Gandalf strides to his horse, passing me.

"I'll be waiting for you at the overlook, before the slopes of Erebor. Keep the map and key safe. Do not enter the mountain without me," Gandalf warns. He stops and continue the look at me, "This is not the Greenwood of old. The air of this forest is heavy with illusion. It will seek to enter your mind and leave you astray."

What did he mean by that? That we'll will be possessed by an unknown entity. The wizard mounts his horse and wheels it around.

"You must stay on path;do not leave it. If you do you will never find it again," Gandalf warns again.

Then we will stay on the path.

"No matter what may come, stay on the path!" The wizard leaves as the a light dismal rain falls.

My head turns to the forest. Darkness and disease. All I can think about is Casadon and how dark that elleth is. Like the forest. "Come on. We must reach the mountains before the sun sets on Durin's Day."

"Durin's Day. Let's go," Dwalin somewhat cheers.

"This is our one chance to find the hidden door."

Chance, hope and fate. Are all against us.

Casadon Erik's P.O.V

My feet dug into the soil outside Mirkwood. Ember neighed loudly from behind and push me forward. I had to follow them; I was drawn to Thorin. Why was I drawn to a dwarf so much, that I have to follow through a forest that I would venture through. Mirkwood was cursed. As was the King -wicked in his own skin.
