You can't clear your mind! You are an intern you need to be super focused but you are so far from that.

It was just a kiss right?

George steps into the locker area and picks up hid jacket before preparing to do his morning rounds.

Say something there's no body in here. It's just you and him.

"George?"

"Yah? What's up?"

"About yesterday..."

"Look (y/n) let's just leave it. I mean your with that nurse guy and I'm with Callie." George don't say this don't say what I think your gonna say.

"It was just a kiss." With that he walked out leaving you speechless and alone.

"I'm telling you Allie he's acting as though the kiss meant nothing." You close friend Alex Karev shove food into his face as he reads over a case file.

"Not to be rude but I want that surgery and I know Bailey won't give it to me unless I memorize this whole file front and back." You role your eyes and smirk.

"Wipe the smirk off your face I noticed you called me 'Allie' but I just let it go because I have more important things to attend to." You roll your eyes then search the lunch area for the familiar face. Suddenly you spot him sitting with the infamous duo of Meredith Grey and Christina Yang, along with Izzy Stevens.

"Out of the people he is currently sitting with, one he used to have a huge crush on and another which had a huge crush on him! We freaking kissed! The kiss which he initiated."

"Look (y/n), I'm gonna tell you exactly what he told me after you too made out or whatever. He told Mer and me that he felt sparks he had never felt before but he couldn't do that to Callie or Izzy. He also said that he knew that you were happy with what's his face. He said that he couldn't ruin your happiness even if he wasn't truly happy. Now I'm not saying this because I think you and him should get together I'm saying this so that maybe you will shut up!"

George looks at you from across the room and suddenly you can't contain the tears that have been building up. You look at him dead in the eye, you stand up abruptly and scream.

"This is your fault!" You try to avoid all the stares as you walk out. It was dead silent except the sound of my feet hitting the ground.

You have always hated people seeing you weak. You hated crying so you refuse, you feel the tears wanting to be released but you won't have it.

Surgeon 101- stay strong, don't cry in front of patients family.

You seen this as don't cry at all until no one will be able to judge you.

"(Y/n)?"

"Go away Alex!"

"You caused quite a scene." You groan.

"I thought you had to study?"

"I do but I wanted to talk to you before he did so you weren't to upset." With that he hurried out as George took over the spot.

"Sorry?" He speaks softly.

"George I'm not mad I was just upset. The kiss... it wasn't just a kiss to me."

"You should know that it wasn't just a kiss to me either..."

"Then why say it was?"

"I want you happy. Even if I'm not the reason for your happiness." He shrugs.

"You never gave me a chance to say weather you were or weren't."

"Yah but I just assumed..."

"Assumption are typically more incorrect than correct." You both giggled then looked down at his hand were wedding ring laid shining against the bright sun seeping through the window.

"What about Callie. She doesn't deserve this..."

"She knows already. She's thinking everything through but she's not mad she understands that sometimes people fall out of love just as quickly as they fall in love." Those words caused a slight sting in your heart.

"Does that mean if you fall in love with me you'll find someone else?"

George leans in and brushes his lips on your before initiating a passion filled kiss.

"I don't think sparks like that just disappear." You smile and start the kiss all over. After all these are just simple kisses.
