Chapter 9
"Dana? Dana.."
"Mhmm..."
"Wake up. Wake up, I hear something downstairs!"
Dana rolls over to face me, eyes closed.
"Sacha, I'm pretty sure you're imagining it. Go back to sleep okay?"
That's when we heard something crash downstairs. Dana jolted awake, getting up in bed and looking at me.
"You're okay? I heard a noise and got worried.........." He trailed off.
"Dana, I'm fine, but we might not be. There is definitely someone down there, and I don't think we should go and see." He shook his head furiously. "I can go."
I objected quickly. "Dana no! I just got you back I'm not losing you again! What if the person has a gun?" I started to tear up, and my breath caught in my throat. He grabbed me in an embrace and whispered to me.
"I promise nothing's gonna happen, not to me, not to you. I won't let it. So don't worry about anything." He pulled back and kissed my cheek, before leaving my bed and heading to the door.
He barely got it open when he heard footsteps at the stairs. He headed back to the bed.
"Change of plans; in the closet,"
I nodded, but not before pulling up the blanket of my bed, and finding my emergency notepad behind it. I opened it to a clean page and began to write.
"Sacha, not the time."
I shrugged him off and continued writing.
I finished and left the pen, and Dana and I rushed to close the closet door, just as the person busted through my door; sending it into my wall. It made a hole.
The person had thick boots, and clomped all around my room, going through my drawers and looking in the bathroom. He passed the bed to the closet and stopped, just as I drew in a breath of fear.
He stepped back to my bed, looking at the notepad. He began to read aloud, mocking a female voice. I recognized the voice.
"Dear Mom. So Dana and I went out, and saw it was late, so we just stayed at Chalyiaa and Maya's house. See you tomorrow! -Sacha."
He threw the notepad angrily against the wall. I flinched, and Dana wrapped his arms around my waist. "Damnit!" He shouted. He fumed, and lingered while looking at the closet, and after a while, he left.
I finally let out my breath after 20 seconds. I began crying.
"Sacha! It's okay, we're okay! Nothing's wrong, we're both safe. It's okay!" He held my face, forcing me to look at him. He wiped my tears with his thumbs, and pulled me into a hug.
I pull away after a while and head downstairs. "Sacha I don't think that's a good idea." Dana said, following me out. I ignore him and look to see the damage.
Everything was trashed, from the paintings on the walls, to the electronics in the living room, broken glass everywhere. The piano was smashed in. The window off to the side was broken.
"Sacha," Dana began, but I held up my hand. I saw something, something small, unnoticeable.
I walk to the far corner in the right, away from the broken window. There in small, scrawgly print meant to unhinge, was a note.
"Dana," I said. I waved him over.
'Not over,' the note read.
A/N: hiya! Okay so sorry that this took so long, I was literally wondering how to write this. I had writers block so....... But anyways, I have like 20 more days of school I think,....so summer here I come!and I think I'm gonna update this story on Sundays, if I can. I love y'all!
And I told you to be patient, and I told you to be fine
And I told you to be balanced, and I told you to be kind
And now all your love is wasted,
Then who the hell was I?
'Cause now I'm breaking at the britches, and at the end of all your lines.
