After we were all finished, we got in the van and drove to the venue where the boys would be having the show. It was decorated really nice, streamers being complimented by the strobe lights shining through them in different colors. There were a lot of teens, mostly girls, and when the boys stepped out of the van, they started screaming and racing to them for pictures and autographs. I took some pictures of the boys and fans, and we soon made it inside so that the boys could get ready.
Inside, everyone was offered water and snacks as Will was warming everyone up. Chalyiaa and I joined in playfully, and we continued their warmups for five minutes before the guys stood around talking quietly, waiting to be called to the stage.
"Man, it must be amazing to do this, hearing the people that love you cheer you on as you do what you love." I spoke to Dana. "I know you're gonna do great." I lean up to kiss his cheek, just as someone came in with, microphones and earpieces, which looked customized. "Alright boys, you've got five." Everyone nodded, and stood lined up by the side entrance to the stage, waiting once again.
"Well, Chalyiaa and I will be out there in the audience." I told them, as we went around giving hugs. "Good luck guys, we know you're going to do great, have fun." I came to Dana one last time before we headed out there.
"Alright sir, I get to see you do what you do. I'm excited." He grinned, and nodded. "I'll make sure I perform just for you." I nod, and smile as well. Then, I grab him by his shoulders, lean up on my tippy toes, and give Dana a kiss on the cheek, and a hug, before walking out and getting ready to watch the show. As we walk out to audience, I hear yelling coming from the room the guys are in and I chuckle to myself.
Soon, the strobe lights slowly dimmed and the venue was dark for a few minutes as everyone's screams intensified. Then, the darkness was replaced by five golden beams, shining on the boys as their backs were turned. When they turned and the music started, the screams got impossibly louder, and reached an earsplitting volume.
They started out with a few covers of songs, to which everyone, including Chalyiaa and I, sang along; Then they played some originals. It was amazing seeing Dana in his element, watching him live his dream. Knowing he was doing what made him happy made me proud of him in a way that I couldn't explain.
As the show came to a close, Chalyiaa and I hurried to the room backstage to find the boys and give them their props.
"You guys did so good!" Chalyiaa yelled, bursting into the room, running to the nearest person and giving them a hug. She hugged Dalton, I did the same and hugged Gabe. "Nice job up there, sir. Very nice indeed," he nodded and smiled, actually smiled, at me.
"Thanks Sacha, means a lot." I nod and continue congratulating the rest of the guys on a job well done. When I make my way to Dana, I say nothing but run into his waiting arms, as he picks me up and spins us, the same way he did the day I agreed to come on tour with him.
"You did your thing up there, I'm beyond impressed." I said in a hushed voice, with a small smile on my lips. Everyone seemed to be trying not to obviously eavesdrop on our conversation. "I performed for you out there tonight." Dana replied, and I nodded before hugging him again. "I'm so proud of you," I whispered in his ear, giving him a gentle kiss on the cheek. He put me down and stared at me for a long time, and it seemed that for a second all time had stopped, but Dana and I were the only ones moving, gravitating towards each other.
Someone cleared their throat, bringing us back down to the planet as we looked up at everyone else in the room. "We're hanging out. You guys coming, right?" Gabe asked, the signature smirk finding its home on his face. I nodded, Dana clearing his throat awkwardly and taking my hand to lead me out of the room.
