Chapter 15
"Hello?" I say looking around the empty living room. "Hello?" Hm. I got the house to myself.
I kick off my shoes and walk into the kitchen to see a note taped to the fridge:
'Hey Sach! Just went out, I know it's late but I'm trying to make everything perfect for tomorrow! We are going out! - Dana! Btw, I'm sorry about today.'
I turn as a door lightly opens and out steps my mother. I smile to myself as I fold up the note.
"Dana?" I look up at my mom as I move out the way of the fridge as she grabs some water. She looks at me expectantly. Crap is it that obvious?
"You were smiling like you always used to when you spoke about him, are you guys getting all comfy and cozy again? Should I get the condoms or do you want birth control? Either works for me."
She laughs as I push past her. I roll my eyes and make my way to the stairs. "God, Mom, we're just friends, that's all." She goes to sit in the kitchen as she seems less convinced. "Maybe you are but he's not." "Does everyone think that?" She shrugs. "Don't you?" "Goodnight mother." I sigh, going to my room.
